I do not quiet agree though Lightning does indeed struggle. CA-27 is very good but it’s the twin boom aircraft which need relief. Not to much or they will be to strong in a downtier themselves but with MiG-15 and Sabre at 8.0 / 8.3, 8.0 should be a given for Venom. Vampire would be well placed at 7.7 for a start.
its far too slow for 7.7. its got the zero curse where its outmatched objectively but stupid people keep turnfighting the turnfighting one trick pony
You can not onnly compare it to some F-80C. You also have to consider other aircraft at it’s Br or below.
It’s more fo a spitfire than a FW-190 D13 that’s for sure. 7.3 would certainly be pushing it.
like hawk T1a, F9F, mig 15, F-84G and mk8 meteors? all sealclub it.
Out of those I would only really worry about the MiG-15 flight performance wise though I have not faced the Hawk yet. Cal 50 is of course always annoying if you can not dodge.
the hawk has speed, like a lot of it. its also got an ok enough turn rate until its slow to beat out a lot of jets, however it only takes two turns and its done. It also only needs to be hit by 2 .50 cal rounds for a wing to fall off, or a single round to its pilots control to lose all weapons, despite having mirrored controls for both pilots. the thing is badly modeled for survivability
if the player knows what they are doing they turn once and if they cant get you they have ran off as they dont stand a chance anymore.
