MesserSpit

It was suggested and even passed for consideration on the old forum.

Anyway, very +1. Should’ve been added 10 years ago.

The Buchon would be quite nice, agreed. Also, unpopular opinion, but the Buchon with the Merlin legit looks better than the normal 109.

oh hey its the Hispano HA-1112!

A decent plane with a real engine

RAFwaffe would be a good mix for an event. Its copy paste but there is a great story behind it and they did work that made the RAF very effective against the Germans.

Its sad Spain never was a sub tree for Italy they would go well together. The Spanish BF 109s and there Heinkel He 111 got a similar upgrades. Also some say the He 111 got some better MGs post war but there is one better. They where used in a lot of WW2 movies and got a lot of paint jobs so plenty of skins.

Its sad this plane fits in well as a squadron vehicle and in some cases might do better then the original spitfire mainly low altitude rate fights.

Spanish CASA 2.111 had defensive Breda-SAFAT mg, not exactly better MG though 😆

That’s especially sad, if you look at Hungarian subtree implementation, like one of the main advantages it could give is still missing - a regular heavy tank, Romanian stuff, which was thought to bring multiple interesting modernizations, mostly comes as event/premiums. I was actually the one who heavily supported Hungarian-Romanian subtree, but looking at the implementation, we could have similar gapfillers with Spanish subtree, while the tree wouldn’t become a mix of Western and Soviet tech + Hungary would help other Eastern European nations to come in something like Visegrad TT.
Although it’s unlikely to be changed imo, so I would better hope for proper implementation of Hungary and Romania, maybe at some point Spain could also come to Italy, depending on the development of other trees, who knows)

Were those ever modified or just repainted?

Copy paste can actually have good reasoning behind it. Unlike however many soviet pieces of junk and spgs are shoehorned into multiple trees

Repainted, but actually utilised by the RAF

If its just repainted then no thanks. We have enough captured 1:1 planes already.

Huh, that’s interesting. Prolly overheats like hell though.

It’s actually thanks to the Battle of Britain Movie (in part) that the Buchon has become so popular. As an interesting note, while 109s do attract attention on the warbird circuit, the Buchons usually attract far more attention and have become even more popular, thanks to being movie stars. Also, coupled with the fact that flyable 109s are rare as heck.

That is why there so interesting even though they did basically nothing but some CAS operations post WW2.

I’m actually planning on suggesting all of those Spanish planes! The He 111 copy and all possible variants of the Bf 109 copy. Might not be right away, but they are on my list!

Gaijin follows the if it could hold the weapon it gets it.

Exactly, so this would be perfectly fine. Though doesn’t change the fact that it would be a forgettable premium
