Description: The Messerschmitt BF-109 K4 was the result of the union of two variants, the G14 variant and the G10 variant, with some other small differences between the two versions. From an external view, the K was similar to the G10; indeed, the main changes made were internally. Talking about the K4 variant, it was the only one to result in operation among all the planned variants. 700 of them were produced from October 1944 to the end of 1945, and they took part in the war in both the Luftwaffe and the Aereonautica Nazionale Repubblicana. While the Luftwaffe operated near 700 units, the ANR operated only 3 units in March 1945 in the 3th Squadriglia Gruppo Caccia. The three aircraft during the last times before the end of the war saw combat, and one of them, the W.Nr. 333878 (the second one), was damaged during a fight. There isn’t much information that reports what aircraft they fought and if they took down any enemy aircraft.
Why it should be in the game: There are only few Aircraft in the Italian TT used by the Aereonautica Nazionale Repubblicana, and it will be very iteresting to have a good fighter like this in the tree as a premium or an even for historical reasons.
