Merkava Mk1-2 hulls have 60mm of RHA according to gaijin, but somehow its actually thicker than the 105mm gun? To make it clear, the pictures below show the Merkava Mk2.B.
This is the front hull’s thickness. It might not look so thick because its empty under it(gaijin modeling skill issue), but its not true, as you can see here:
According to this its easy to say that it should be around 100-110mm thick and not 60mm thick.
It’s unclear what was the invention of the images could you add some text to explain
The original poster states that the plate in game is thicker than 60mm so should be 100mm of armor, i added images of the real plate showing that it is thinner irl than it shows in game.
that does seem like it is more than just 60mm but it could just be me

It’s seems the ingame model is off but I think it looks like the thickness is near 100mm irl
it might be, but if you look at the in game “popped” model of that plate it doesn’t have the “bend” and is solid all the way, i assume this is what the original poster ment as they stated so:
(zoomed in on in-game “popped” plate):
So i wanted to show that it isn’t solid all the way through like the modeled plate looks in game.
The actual thickness of that plate IRL i do not know and do not have any knowledge or way of finding out.
Either way, to get armor changed in game you need reliable sources and not just images of in game models or images of the real armor but no real way of measuring it.
