I find it equally hard to believe. The combat performance of the Merkava 4ELC and 4B is indeed similar to the Merkava 4M, but not because the former two are particularly strong; rather, the latter is simply underperforming at 12.0. It’s almost laughable how Gaijin has decided to buff these tanks. In my opinion, all three should be at 11.7,their protection and mobility simply don’t justify a 12.0 vehicle
yep, they shouldn’t at 12.0 infact gaijin need to let 4m at 11.7 with B and lic
This guy gets it
The merkavas have great performance… look at their K/D and winrates. They are already good, they are getting a buff, the br change is justified.
Have you ever played a Merkava? Clearly bait.
Welcome to the Leclerc experience
I havent. But it performs well if you look at statistics.
Still incapable of even withstanding 3BM42 anywhere while being the size of a skyscraper.
Can reliably resist overpressure from huge bombs that hit it directly. As well as having wack spalling with relatively spread out turret crew.
The high KD and win rate of the Merkava Mk. IV series are simply due to a basic statistical error: insufficient sample size.
Consider how often you actually encounter a Merkava in a match? And how do the players who drive Merkavas typically perform? If you delve deeper, you’ll discover an alarming fact: the vast majority of players who operate top-tier Israeli vehicles are consistently ranked highly in ground RB, much like those who play top-tier Italian and French tanks.
3K/D for the LIC over 300 matches is a pretty decent sample size i think?
wrong again. number of matches does not equal sample size. sample size means number of players using the vehicle.
The way gaijin calculates BRs is just plain stupid, it only caters to bad players by buffing the few tanks that get spammed out by little timmy and punishes the good ones by nerfing the tanks that only a few, relatively skilled players play.
It caters to lazy players that do not want to improve at the game and want to be handheld the entire time they play. At this point just add autoaim for tanks like WoT and add the in-battle armor viewer from WoTB
What shocked me was that there were so many players in the reply who believed that the high k/d in a very small sample (hundreds of times) was as referential as those in mainstream games. Even the numerical planning of low-quality mobile games would not make such mistakes. Gaijin, what are you doing. Can it be said that Leclerc is a better MBT than Strv122, given France’s high win rate before?
I may have exaggerated, not many players think so, but gaijin clearly thinks so
No but we can’t see exact playernumbers and the merkavas have very consistent good stats dating back 5+ months and i doubt its the same players playing over and over for more than half a year
I think it’s pretty safe to say less than 10% of players own the Merkava 4s and less than 5% play them regularly. So whoever you see playing them, probably play them regularly. There’s no reason for someone to suffer with a vehicle unless they have some sort of bias towards it (Nationalistic, collecting, Etc…).
And you are making the same mistake Gaijin makes. Merkava players have been getting good with them over time because they got used to a certain defensive and limited playstyle. As a result, the numbers show decent performence. Would you agree that the average player would have a much better time playing a spaded 2A7V than a Mk4m? I literally turn off my brain when playing BVM and T-90M, because my armor will stand 70% of shots. Theres no way you think this change is good.
ah yes, the famous STATISTIK where the Abrams is a shit bus and the ariete is a beast
1.75K/D and 1.8 kills per battle is not that good
The success of a Merkava player isn’t just a matter of “suffering” through its limitations but mastering its nuances, much like how any specialized vehicle performs in skilled hands. You can’t just balance a vehicle that requires more knowledge by putting it down in BR where it will seal club. Just because a tank doesn’t let you play mindlessly like the BVM or T-90M doesn’t mean it’s bad—it just rewards a different, more nuanced playstyle.
