I would suggest you post it on reddit to get more attention from the community.

The entire bug report system is flawed because it’s up to you to provide source where as the moderators don’t have to when denying a bug report. In my opinion the conversation should go like this:

You: Hey these sources say blah blah, and what we have in game is inaccurate. The remedy to this problem is to do this:

Dev: Sorry, the sources that you provided is (inaccurate, conflicting, not enough information, etc). Here are the sources that we used when implementing it:

As of right now it feels like some moderators have no idea what they are talking about but if they do, we have no way of verifying their claims.

Let me emphasize, some moderators not all moderators are like this. Some go above any beyond to explain why a bug report is denied.

people have tried, and have done so in the past. No one listens to us, honestly as an israel main, we would rather get the merkavas fixed and get a new top tier spaa than get any other veichle for the next 5 updates. its a change that makes israel competitive but not as good as sweden, germany, russia, even usa, but it makes the lineup good and fun to play.

Well this isn´t surprising as the patent doesn´t refer explicitly to any AFV. But this can be remedied with evidence coming from damaged Merkava 4 modules.

@David_Bowie Hi, can we have any update on this?
its been accepted a year ago. The report clearly shows evidence of SLERA type of armor. Where is the rework on the Merkava’s armor model? I think I speak on behalf of a lot of players by saying we feel totally ignored. Please.

Listen guys, Gaijin Studio is not interested in fixing the Mk.4 armor. We, as a team, have advanced further on several public platforms in the issue of Mk.4 modular armor than Gaijin Studio with its invisible advisers. The studio believes that these vehicles are not capable of withstanding the impact of modern kinetic projectiles and there is nothing you can do about it. This is the studio’s principle that can never be broken.

The Merkava 4 in “War Thunder” simply does not reflect its real-life strength, and this becomes very clear when compared to other modern MBTs at BR 11.3-11.7 like the Leopard 2A7 and T-80BVM. The game gives the tank the weakest armor possible, especially against sabot rounds, with the armor being depicted as if it’s made from cardboard. The armor model is simply inaccurate, and there’s no connection between how the tank performs in reality and how it’s portrayed in the game.

In the game, the Merkava 4’s armor is given an “armor multiplier” of 0.10x, which is even lower than the protection offered by rubber fabric screens (0.20x), and this is just wrong. In reality, the Merkava 4 is equipped with excellent armor, consisting of strong ceramic and metal layers that provide protection against highly advanced rounds, including modern APFSDS rounds like DM53 and M829A2, which can barely penetrate its armor in real-life combat. The tank wouldn’t be such an easy target for older rounds like the ones modeled in the game, and this doesn’t reflect the outstanding protection it offers in actual engagements.

The real-world armor of the Merkava 4 is further supported by advanced layers that protect the crew and sensitive components, including excellent chemical protection. For example, the tank’s frontal armor is protected by around 800-900mm of KE (Kinetic Energy) protection, much more than what is shown in the game. The game’s representation of the tank simply doesn’t do justice to its true capabilities.

If Gaijin truly wants to make “War Thunder” a great and realistic game, they should consider the real-life characteristics of the Merkava 4 and adjust the armor model accordingly. This would not only improve the experience for players but also make the game more authentic, reflecting the true strength of modern armored vehicles. Until then, the Merkava 4 remains an unrealistic and frustrating choice for players who want to enjoy a real representation of the tank.

Just a reminder, in the Ukraine war, tanks like the T-90 explode way more easily than the Merkava—like 5 times more. The Merkava is designed so that doesn’t happen, with the ammo stored in the back to keep it safer.

I think Gaijin doesn’t love Israel or the Merkavas

Trophy system works just fine. Don’t belive Hamas propagnda videos, as those are usually edited to look like a loss for the Merkavas and a victory for the ATGM. From my experience in Gaza and Lebanon wars the Trophy works like a miracle, saved my life in Gaza last summer from 2 Kornets from the side (frontally they wouldn’t pen most of the time, but those were sideways). The Trophy, or Me’il Ru’akh in Hebrew, is an IDF man’s savior.

As a man who manned s Merkava Mk.4 for quite some time, I can say you are almost 100% right. The UFP has KE protection of around 700 mm in armor-to-armor configuration (not to talk about the ‘max armor kit’, but it’s barely ever used), and a little more than that, like 720 probably, on the turret. Otherwise the tank was not a 70 ton beast. Also the sides have way, way more armor than any other modern tank, and IRL if you shoot it’s rear it will do nothing, the turret rotates lightning fast and you’re screwed. Ask Hamas terrorists who targeted my tank with a Kornet and 3 seconds later got vaporized by a Kalanit shell to the face :)
