Merkava 4 armor is long overdue to be buffed

For some reason gaijin thinks that the vertical drive of the Merkavas is larger than the one found on the Pzh 2000, a gun that’s twice as heavy and on a vehicle thats older than the MK4

Gaijin: Not a bug. This is the earth’s Mekawa, not the Mekawa in the warthunder planet, so it’s not a mistake.

Made is pretty lazely as i have no hope of having this fixed i thought i’d just throw it at them to show them they are doing terrible investigations on their models.

Is there any evidence for this?

I saw that there are two mechanisms. One in front of the loader, the other in front of the gunner.
They are identical and look like the one in your photo. This can be seen in the Merkava 4 training simulator.

Hanging around in bug reports yes, Merkava crew have reported in some degree of spall prevention within the turret and hull of the MK4s and MK3s

Where can I find evidence? What do you mean, “the crews report”?

You’re making such “strong arguments” when you make claims.

Go look at the evidence provided for spall liners in the bug reporting forum, I don’t have it on hand, and the claims have come from numerous IDF Merkava crewmen, i’m simply reciprocating them

https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/VyHLLYjBAVcD

I’ve already looked, and it’s just ridiculous. People circle random bolts on the tank and claim it’s a spall liner.

You claim that “it was absolutely obvious there was a liner,” but you can’t provide a single piece of evidence.

Compare these photos with photos from a Leopard or T-90M, where the liner looks completely different.

What part of ‘in some degree’ do i claim it’s obviously there, I couldn’t tell you because I’m not an IDF tanker, nor do I have access to the patents or documents of IMI and the Israeli Government.

Short answer is that I have heard frequently, from people who operate the tanks, that they have an internal spall prevention measure, whether or not that’s true I couldn’t tell you, nor do I have the provisions to back up their claim, due to previously mentioned restrictions.

However I highly doubt that the designers of the Merkavas would neglect to add some form or Spall-prevention in a tank that values survivability over everything else

So, you’re just believing.

It’s pretty weird to demand something based on faith.

It’s not surprising that this doesn’t appear in the game based on faith.

Demanding ≠ Postulating, I was under the impression that Merkava Mk4 tanks possessed anti-spalling measures, as informed to me by IDF crewmen of the Meil’Ruach (Mk4M) that there was spall prevention, as a result it joins the list of features that could be added to improve the Merkava, as if they exist or not, I haven’t seen enough evidence for or against spall liners, as the IDF is extremely secretive with their information, and finding out details about the Merkava’s armour is exceedingly difficult.

Do you have good photos that show there’s no lining? Do you prefer not to believe your own eyes?

Word of an IDF crewman takes precedence over that of some russian main on the forums 🤷‍♂️
