Merkava 4 armor is long overdue to be buffed

Tbf tho that’s actually quite the massive change, being able to out-reload enemies is a major advantage.

It is undeniable that speeding up the loading speed of Mekava is indeed an important change, but at present, this speed is almost everywhere (M1A1/2, Leclerc, Ariete, Challenger 2, Mekava 4, Type10/90) Its importance has decreased a lot than before, and its effectiveness can be more durable if the armour is repaired. Of course, the better situation is to speed up the loading and repair Mekava’s armour. Let’s see when Gaijin will pay attention to Israel.

Guys I brought up the issue of Merkavas not having sufficient armor a while ago no one commented hhahaa. Frontal plate of Merkava 4M after being upgraded and knowing modern day threats however, IDF still accepts 300mm of frontal armor vs kenetic rounds, ahh and just recently have reverted to using t-34 armor best armor.

There is one aspect you are wrong about Soviet armor is not leagues behind NATO armor not true at all. Frontal armor plate of Soviet tanks with ERA has seen better protection stats than NATO tanks, also side armor is also thicker than 2a4s to 2a6 models.

same as the challengers why tf does it weigh SO MUCH but the armour sucks so hard its laughable

Doesn’t the chally 2 weigh like 62 tons ingame or something lmfao

with ERA

Who’s talking about ERA? That has nothing to do with composite arrays. It’s no secret that the West is years, maybe even decades ahead of Russia in materials science.

What Russia claims they use for armor and what they actually use are 2 different things. A T80bv exploded in UK from a kinetic round to the UFP by what I’m assuming is not the latest and greatest round considering all of their equipment is old or hand me downs. According to gaijin this tank can’t be penned in this spot.

What do you mean exploded upper front plate, it can only pen upper front plate not explode. Depends on the kenetic round, frontal plate near the driver hatch vs frontal plate just below the drivers hatch. T-80 bv has about 500mm of armor protection against kenetic rounds frontal plate, I am sure UK has sabot rounds that can pen 500mm of armor. BV is not T-80U with about 650mm of kenetic protection and some areas maybe more.

I am sure in some areas NATO equipment is ahead, but don’t forget about hardness of steal being used, the harder the steal the more protection it has against sabot rounds. That being said if ERA does not work properly upon impact A3 round 900mm of pen can indeed go through.

Chally tanks were indeed pend as well, does not mean they have poor frontal armor.

ARRAYS

Well NATO can be ahead in those areas, I am not here to confirm or deny it remember there are test tanks like Armata and Black eagle that might have different materials in them as compared to T-series tanks.

My goal is not to say NATO materials are worse especially composite and arrays, unless I was an expert and studied the above mentioned tanks, there is no way I can prove that for you beyond reasonable doubt.

What we can conclude is that a lot of T-series tanks which are 1980s material kontakt -5 included, do not have modern day composite materials like some of their western counter parts do.

In an unnoticed corner, Trophy HV on Mekava 4M was modified by Gaijin to something with only three job opportunities.
Specific process: After intercepting a missile on either side of the left and right, the number of works on the other side becomes zero.
Sure enough, Israel needs to pay more for a little valuable improvement.

the merkava at top tier is a joke now, this should be at best 10.3 in current state

I gave up on the Challenger 2 and Merkava 4 almost a year ago. Now, I have the T90M and this beauty below that I just unlocked.

I don’t understand why Gaijin keeps the Merkava 4 so fragile. I remember the reload used to be 8 seconds; they took months to fix it, and now with the armor, I doubt they’ll ever do anything.

The most they might do is reduce the reload time, like they did with the Abrams — which nobody wants, because the tank will still be paper.

With these changes, they’re creating a game that’s all about spamming Russia, Germany, Sweden, and Italy (because of the 2A7). Chinese tanks? Meh, they don’t make much difference. One shot to the lower plate and it’s a one-hit kill.

It’s ironic that we have to look for proof that the tank has better armor, even though it’s classified… Most people won’t do that — they’ll just abandon the tanks they like to play with Russia or Germany because it’s META.

Just that would be fine.

Well I have moved (still play the major nations some times) on and I am playing Israel at the moment, but its really hard, armor values are way too weak, tanks I like best are the Galbatash, LIC and M4M. Instead of giving hypothetical reload speed of 5 seconds which is hard to accomplish on the move, armor values should be increased.

Especially the Magach 7C, it really need an armor value increase, along with a reload buff with all the other 105mm Sharir Magachs.
(There’s also the option to add the M428 Sword to it tho, which would be lovely)

What I have noticed is that ERA on Magach 7C and Galbatsh does not work at all against kenetic rounds, is it similar to performance to kontakt1? I am guessing is that it should offer protection against keentic rounds.
