And it was time for Israel to have the Merkava 1, since it was already available as an event in the American tech tree, but the Merkava 2B Late and the Merkava 3D, which are also event-based and in the American tech tree, were still missing. Since it’s easy to copy and paste those vehicles, the developers could have taken advantage of this and added all three tanks to the Israeli tech tree at once.

Merkava Mk.2B late isn’t really needed at all, since it’s practically functionally identical to the 2B we have. The 3D would be quite nice though, and hope to see it soon.

I know it wouldn’t be a huge difference compared to the 2B, but after all, it’s an Israeli tank, and it would be easy to implement, just like Gaijin likes to do,copy and paste, but this time with some logic.

They try to avoid this because the cost of the event one on the marketplace can drop. Not very fair to coupon owners.

It’s not that it wouldn’t change a lot, it’s that it wouldn’t change anything.

It’s quite frustrating. They’re quite happy to copy-paste everything. Unless it’s a premium, gift, or reward tank.

Same goes to the Australian Abrams going to the British tree now that China is getting one. Similar could be said about the Canadian Leopards after Gaijin copy-pasted Leopards into the other trees. There’s even a perfect gap in the British tree for them, right after the Vickers MBT 7.

The change is that Israel would have one more tank to use in its tech tree, and on top of that, it was originally a model manufactured in Israel.

I’ve always found it interesting that they put Canada and Australia within the United Kingdom. The problem is that it would end up like what will eventually happen with Israel if they add the Greeks: it would all end up being Leopards and Abrams against Leopards and Abrams. Then the developers will forget even more about fixing the bugs and problems of the Challenger 2 and 3, and Merkava 4.
