They’re still producing consumer GPUs, which is different from completely cutting off that segment out of their business.
Even if they take the same amount of resource to make, Air/Ground have like 100x more consumers than Naval and those few extra premiums per year will definitely average out on more profits as a plane/tank than as a ship.
I mean, what’s profitable ?
Is making 1€ per month profitable ? 100€ ? 2000€ ?
As said before, Air/Ground have like 100x more consumers than Naval, so transferring premiums from latter to former (which isn’t a saturated market because all options aren’t being readily available) will most certainly make you more money.
But, are they willing to sacrifice their already established Naval market share and vanity for that amount of profit ?

I’m frustrated because they’re wasting dev time and money on these products. It’s not even a real collab. They invented this IP and to date, after two of these collabs, outside of War Thunder Senrai Maidens does not exist as a separate product.
People can buy whatever they want, I will never stop them, but as players we all have a stake in this game too. It’s not like they’re going out to a separate store and buying manga/anime/etc. This is War Thunder and all War Thunder players are allowed to comment on the products Gaijin offer.

The funniest part is that is that even if you do not like all this anime theme, but you buy the packs for their intended role (having an extra tank in your lineup) to my knowledge you cant turn off the anime crew voices which in my opinion it feels kinda forced onto the players. In all fairness an extra tank at 11.7 wont change much, it would be more bmpt food (gz gaijin), but I cant help to notice that this a a part of larger phenomenon of cutiefying of gaming in general. We have seen this with WoW, WoT, etc. As a closing remark, over the years some vehicles were removed for being considered non historical. One would assume that seeing a panther 2 or r2y2 would be emersion breaking for some people because war thunder should be more historically accurate compered with other games. But a tiger 2 with 5 anime pillows on top is fine.
Tried it test drive it does not work for me. But my point still stands. Even if you have non fictional stuff turned off you still see the 3d decorations which this time around are far more visible compared with the previous edition.
I guess just buy the above tank from where the Senrai Maiden Tank is located on the tech tree. It’s just the same thing!
For example, the Click-Bait, below it, is the same exact M1A1 HC Abrams? If you literally look at the same to other nations for example Germany, Russia, U.K, China and Japan. Their Senrai tanks are literally just the above tank from where it’s at!

To be honest the vanilla crew voices ain’t that good anyway, does a crew voice mod override the anime crew voices? RTCM crew voice mod, I highly recommend it’s really good!
