I didn’t know that
Technically I don’t know either xdd
But it makes sense, how should valve know about it? These are credit card transactions in a third-party store.
Either they are bots, or they are player collectors who need to have everything in the game (F.o.M.O)
I just saw that all the purchases I made on the gaijin website using the Steam wallet are in the history of War Thunder and even have the name of the vehicle purchased
maybe it actually counts purchases towards the earnings metric
I can run the game launcher, make a purchase at the gaijin store with my credit card. Valva can’t know about this.
You can, but in the case I said above, they know what was purchased and from which game.
I don’t know the reality in other countries, but depending on the amount I’m going to buy in War Thunder, it’s much more worth it to do it this way
In my country, steаm is more expensive.
Same for me, but I can buy through the Gaijin website using a Steam wallet paying the same price as on the website, which is good for me since only Steam allows you to pay in installments
is it 100% safe? Normally it is like this on eBay, if I don’t win something then I get the money back, or it is not deducted at all
You get your money back, but only in Gaijin certified company currency that you can’t get back and can only be spent on Gaijin’s marketplace and store.
So as for the money you spend to get those GJN is already paid to Gaijin before you buy anything. Think of it as buying casino chips, except you can’t cash them in for anything other than casino distributed items.
How about you don`t do that? We already have marketplace for that. Or is it that your pile of money is not large enough?
yes but in my case i have gj coins from the selling of my vehicles, i dont use real money, i think i got from the market by seeling event or bp vehicles more then 700 euros
Looks like warthunder is really collapsing if they are this desperate to get money
You couldn’t think of a more worthless addition?
Best case scenario you create false scarcity for all skins from now on.
Worst case scenario you start putting vehicles on there to squeeze even more money from players.
Either way this is terrible. There’s so many more things the time and effort could have been spent on. Good lord…
That kind of system monopolizes control. It would not benefit the game long term in any way. If people who pay in are the only ones with a say the game would not survive. Just because you’ve bought something for the game doesn’t make your ideas somehow better or more valuable, it just means you spent money. It’s a system that’s even more easily abused and just as open to pure bad faith.
The game end of this should not be controlled exclusively by money, just as the company end shouldn’t be controlled exclusively by gamers.
That 91% are against and only 2% approve the Auction makes it pretty clear even people wo spend money hate this auction
Including me
I’d like to ask, can you state in no unclear terms that vehicles -won’t- be included in this auction in future? I’d like to give the benefit of the doubt, but you’ve only stated what will be in it without any exclusive terminology like ‘only cosmetics’.
As respectfully as I can be, it feels like slippery wording.
I find it rather telling they didn’t explicitly state that in the initial annoucement, nor have they offered any follow up statement on it. No “We want to assure players this auction system will never be used for vehicles”.
It really wouldnt have hurt them at all and it would have tempered at least some frustrations and concerns. But the absence of it tells me there is absolutely some sense of a plan to bring vehicles to it eventually.
I’m not interested.
I understand that the company has some goals and is trying to achieve them. In my opinion, they could earn more by not working against themself.
Namely, nerfing premiums this turns off some players. I can buy premium time for cash myself, but I won’t spend a dime on vehicles* (for example, the Harrier GR.1 is currently unplayable).
The developer should think about attracting new players instead of killing two modes for the last 10 years.
The latest move with keen vision also turns ppl off from grinding new tech trees. Plus bonus to researching new machines is a joke.
To sum up, you can earn more by improving the quality of your product.

- this year I did.
Pretty clear they want to use it for vehicles in the future
