This is true. The only workaround is to lock the ItO with your plane’s ESM and launch the Kh-31s in IOG mode.
That still doesnt fix the issue where one side can carrier spawn, the other cannot…

I don’t think they know the concrete date/times beforehand. Just like patches, etc: They are working on stuff, when it is ready, it will be released.
You know our community: Imagine the outrage if they say “next soandso will be thenandthen”, and for some reason are forced to then delay that because it’s not ready as planned or some issues have been found…

Since all of the equipment and vehicles on both teams are based on either the US or USSR, there is no possible CATOBAR / conventional style carrier to add to the red team. As France / UK are not always on the Red team, we do not plan on intermixing their ships, as this would look very strange on the occasions where its just the USSR.

just make france and the UK always on the ruddy nato side. I find it so insanely annoying wanting to play as britain or france and ending up on the russian side. it’s a vietnam era game mode with ahistorical line ups ffs. I’ve said it once before and I will say it a million more times. front carrier should be VTOL only, rear should be CATOBAR on either side. having both carriers be the exact same is just stupid

But USSR and China didn’t have CATOBAR carriers back then though?
And didn’t have planes for it either, so what’s the use for that. In fact afaik the only naval plane they could have in the 8.7-11.0 bracket is the Yak-38s
they had their ramps which were used. ik its not CATOBAR but its their equivalent.

Actually does Russia have a carrier for their Yak-38s in game? They’re called Kiev class aircraft cruisers if I’m not mistaken

For higher tiers yes but China didn’t have carriers before the J-15 did they? So doesn’t work for Vietnam era
Two Baku’s was featured in the last iteration of NE, and many people want at least one of them to be changed to a catobar carrier. Or at the very least a Kuznetsov
