also, my main point of comparison was the MiG-25, for the longer range stuff, i only brought up the 23 as thats really the only thing you could win in a turn fight with in a F-4E if you only got Sparrows and sidewinders, if you bring bombs or a full set of guided munitions you wouldn’t even have AIM-9s to fight with
Well yea, I do agree that it’s pretty unbalanced for Redfor atm. Tho I do believe that’s mostly due to the Hawks being way better than the S75s…

Missiles are not the be all and end all of comparison. Especially when one of the platforms will not have the opportunity to employ its supposedly equal missiles in a half effective manner. Mig 21 has agility, and a competent missile load, to engage this threat. It can employ its missiles reliable. Mig 23 is lacking in this regard.
With this update though, you can bring 2 walleyes and 2 shrikes while keeping your sidewinders. Granted 2 walleyes are worse than 6 mavs.

Why have any balance though? The US mains want to go ahead and scream they need the F15 right now because the Mig 23 has crappy missiles oh God.

I just gun them down, not like they are gonna win a turn fight lmao. A10 gameplay has never been so easy until this mode, less SPAA with missiles makes gun fighting people so damn easy

indeed, however that would still weigh your aircraft down a lot and the 2000lbs TV guided ones aren’t too good at gliding so you are kinda stuck with the AGM-65s ( which most of them would get intercepted by the AAA, same with the walleyes, people would most likely either bring full shrikes (do note that there are not shrikes that pick up the ZSU-23-4s radar) or half shrike half rockets and stuff like that

Carrying extra munitions should not be considered with this in mind
depending if its the project shoehorn or not would depend on it, as the B and the C are the same just the B has the IRST in the bump on the nose, if its thought to be on the same level as the C but for the navy line then, it would have 9Ds and maybe 7Es most likely 7Ds, as for the Ds those things got the first LGBs and i would love to see them, no matter how limited the carry of them is
It’s mostly the fact that you’re the only one here drumming up the MiG-23M as a threat when its not even anywhere near a threat for the past few years in ARB. 21Bis, Su-17m4 and MiG-25 are all better a2a fighters than the 23M.
