Meet Nuclear Escalation: Vietnam!

I heard it isnt

IDK what yall keep doing, cause I never see them start turning radars on until 3km. The only BS I’ve seen the SHORAD do is fire without tracers and facing the wrong direction, which I think is more on the fact they can’t resolve desynch for the mode than the AI itself.

They dont need their radars to fire though.

Ive been playing aircraft with very good digital RWRs, and nothing, not a single blip on the RWR from them until I get within 2km, but they can happily fire at like 3.5-4km

No because gaijin doesn’t care to model anything the Nordic nations used nor do they get planned upgrades likes the US or Russia. If RBS 15 gets the Penguin treatment then it’s worthless

What aircraft?

Buc S2B and Hawk 200

I think it’s crazy that we are on the 4th or 5th iteration of NE since April and aimbot shorad hasn’t been fixed at all

I can understand not receiving any warning whatsoever, but IDK about the targeting range. I don’t see them attempt to engage until I get within 3km, regardless of my path.

I didn’t play this iteration of Nuclear Escalation so far, and with the impression I’ve gotten reading this thread I’ll likely keep on playing GRB for now.

Though judging by its reception, wouldn’t it be preferential if either Gaijin were to introduce either a separate BR system for this mode independent of the ARB ratings, or hand pick the allowed vehicles similar to old events?

Surely this would allow for a far better balance, not only for the players/vehicles, but also make it easier to fine tune AI vehicles for the specific set vehicles and capabilities they would face, as well as the economy behind it.

Also whilst I greatly enjoyed the first iteration not only due to the new and improved gameplay loop and especially the enormous potential of larger scale modes, I keep on thinking that this mode would benefit a lot if either the “nuclear” part would be dropped, or kept to a minimum.

There simply is no need for this amount of nukes, if we could have specialized weapon systems instead (anti-runway munitions etc.).

Its honestly 100x better than regular ARB. Its not as repetitive as it has more roles to offer. the AA is still OP but this iteration of NE isn’t all that bad. If anything, this keeps the player from spamming missiles and forces one to think about how to approach convoys (If you’re running a CAS plane). You also don’t have to hug the deck all that much either, so you can have some engaging dogfights, but you also have to be aware of random spaa convoy below and be aware of the distant sam sites.

But overall a much better experience compared to the last test and one before IMO.

Please add free vehicles to use in Nuclear escalation!

Like it was first introduced! so players can have some ready to use vehicles to play like in GRB reserve vehicles!

How does one that slow with no Missiles or guided weapons and dumb bombs not have their bombs and their wings shot off?

Please add crew lock to people who leave matches early and stop the matchmaker from assigning players into ongoing matches. It’s very annoying to be thrown into a late one where people are already nuking airfields.

Edit: I guess there is in fact crew lock present, but people are still thrown into ongoing matches regardless. So if you’re thrown into a late match with a losing team and decide to leave, you get a 9min crewlock lol.

Hold on

Pod can see beyond 30km
Nevermind it stopped working

target prioritization.

If you move it it will stop

Nah it let me move it freely beyond 30km hence why I posted. But after I failed to land at carrier and respawned it reverted back. I should have recorded that perhaps.
