just buy new engines everyday
The causes for some of these issues are not modelled in game. For any vehicle.
You likely know that already of course.
and neither are “historical” BRs.
That would still put it at the same BR as the Gloster Meteor as it entered service only a few months later (July vs April 1944), in fact 1 day after the ME-262s first air combat against a RAF Mosquito.
I think they quite consistent, is just not on the positive way.
Come again?
Not going to explain the context of the last 8 messages I wrote. Read the REASON for why I said what I did.
It’s about the last post exclusively.
No. Your logical flaw is to assume that all other (axis or allied aircraft) would have correct historical BRs - which they have not.
Nobody with a clear mind will support historic BRs - just imagine facing a lobby full of Me 163s and 262s fighting P-51 D-5s/D-10s. Even if 50% of them will explode whilst trying to land (the 163s) the technology gaps are way too large.
No, your logic is flawed - same as the logic of the fellow player you are responding to. If you think this through even a plain Yak-3 would have the same BR as a 262.
Besides that- you are obviously not aware of that your mentioned Meteors were F1s (not implemented in wt) which had a top speed of ~ 660 kmph - so ~ 200 kmph slower than the 1944 service 262 A-1a.
Detailed view:
There is zero evidence that the in wt implemented (late) Meteor F 3 ever saw service in WW 2 - there is not even a clear number available for the F 1 versions which saw service (not implemented in wt) or the early F 3s (not implemented in wt).
You will find here and there some hints (4 aircraft as detachment to Holland in 45, allegedly early F 3s) but the low number of delivered early F 3 aircraft with the 20% weaker engines than the (late) F 3s indicate that the (late) F 3s implemented in wt never saw combat (a link you might find interesting).
And even if a single (late) F 3 (imho then a 1945 plane) would have been delivered - there would be a (theoretical) need for a higher BR than the 262 A-1a - otherwise the whole idea of historical BRs would make no sense in the first place.
In case you have better sources please let me know. Thx in advance!
Have a good one!
That’s really slow. Even slower than the projected top speed for the Kikka…
Can be balanced with repair price.
How much did 262 cost compared to 109?
3x? 5x?
Premium account, having premium vehicles and whatnot makes trying to balance my repair price a moot point.
F4U-4B has massive repair cost in SB and if you have a prem acc you don’t care since you’ll never lose SL as a direct example of it not working.
Balancing by spawn point makes sense, but neither AAB, ARB or ASB have a spawnpoint mechanic.
Yeah.
The whole Meteor story is actually quite fascinating - the web is full with data but especially the number of aircraft which saw combat or operational service in WW 2 in which version is for me not clear.
If you check available sources (and extract the average numbers) it looks like that around 12 production F Mk I and around 10 early F Mk III (with similar/identical top speed) were delivered to No. 616 squadron during WW 2. The increase of the top speed to ~ 760 kmph of the later models was the result of using ~ 20 % stronger Derwent engines.
A quite nice summary of the Meteor story:
Even as the site is highly “patriotic” (Meteor = good, 262 = bad) it gives a quite nice general overview.
Have a good one!
I don’t own any Messerschmitt. All i can say is they are pathetic adversaries. My favorite pastime activity in the P51H is outspeeding them and they are a complete joke when i fly the F84
The entire German Air tree feels obsolete, it’s like they are stuck in 2014 while everyone else got updates/buffs to their FM. Kinda like that kid that was taller than everyone in middleschool, but stopped growing
Can be balanced with repair price.
nobody wants repair cost balancing, we voted explictly to get rid of it
we voted
And now there’s no challenge in game.
You have unlimited planes and unlimited money for respawns.
That wasn’t challenging. Challenge doesn’t come from the economy.
Challenge to save your very expensive aircraft
Not a challenge, just economics meant to screw f2p players.
f2p
The loss of a multimillion-dollar aircraft and the life of the pilot mean nothing in this game now.
