Agreed. Germany should get the Super Hornet from their failed procurement instead. Precedent set by Sweden on multiple vehicles in war thunder (T-80, Mi-28 etc)
Then if Switzerland is ever getting established as Germany sub-tree, will we also get Milan, A-7, Gripen, etc.?
We have quite an impressive and sad list of “failed procurements” as well…
Just coming back 2 months later to tell you yeah we need something.
I believe swiss hornets were had their airframes reinforced to be able to handle 9g
swiss f18 9g - Copy (2).zip (928.6 KB)
Germany will get an f18 before the makers of the plane lol
Eh I personally think that the first F-18 in game will be the A version, just like all the other US 4th gen aircraft.
So I think any C hornets are at least 5-6 months away.
Switzerland should either be a own tech tree or in Germany
The former please
So, what we’d be getting if the leak proves true is the 18C as a pure air superiority fighter, then? I’d be fine with that, I suppose, as much as I’d love to see a fully independent Swiss tree. That said, hopefully, they also end up adding the 18C to the US, as it would be pretty odd for the nation that developed the plane not to get it as well, though there is unfortunate precedent.
With the current situation of a new Swiss premium in the German air tree, and leak sources saying 3 Swiss aircrafts: P-16 (prem), F-5E, F/A-18C all in the nation group of DE or GER. Hopefully it will be added as a sub-tree for German air tree. We desperately need a better top tier jet.
I assume that when they’ll add the Swiss F/A-18C they’ll add it in the December alongside the US and Finnish version.
Gotta cash in on that christmas spending.
The Swiss tree inside the Garman tech tree has a major flaw when it comes to AirSB. It will always face US, IL, UK as opponents. Worse, it is always teamed up with RUS and CN.
There is no way to make germany an allied of US and so it does make Switzerland suffer too.
Can somebody tells Gaijin thasts the short cut off Swiss is NOT CHE. Its CH for Confederation Helvetica!
Where did you find CHE?
That’s not published by Gaijin.
CHE is correct as well, its the official designation after ISO-3166 Alpha-3
Yes, CHE or CH stands Switzerland. SUI is used frequently too.
