Hmm ig im late but what is the F-4Es radar lock range?
its so garbage now

In what scenario? Look up or look down?

radar lock range
like in search and lock AIM-7E-2 mode
what is that one range
but i would also like to know that too, this thing lock capability is kinda garbo

In look up scenarios it will easily lock well outside of effective AIM-7E-2 launch range.

In look down, it is partially dependent on your altitude, but can aquire ACM locks at roughly the range where a 7E-2 could potentially catch a cold aspect target. In headons it is kind of a toss up as to whether you will aquire lock in time to launch a missile.

no i know that but like IRL capability

+1 for the F-4E Late!

Hopefully we will see the F-4E AUP in the future as well! Especially this one with the modified windshield

Sim players will enjoy that canopy view! Do you know anything more about this, or have any other images? Are you sure this isn’t a standard applied to all of them later on, and isn’t a “one” off?

The one piece forward windshield is not a one-off modification

The reg # for this jet was 68-424 i think. I believe it came from the missouri ANG as many of the windshield modifications came from them. I do not know when it was transferred to greece however. If anyone has a way to look up what airframes were sold to foreign customers it would be greatly appreciated :D

But it also appears it wasn’t standard, how interesting!

Definitely not standard, but probably an “as available” type of deal. If a forward windshield needed replaced and a one-piece was available it was an option.

The same is the case for the “amber” windscreen on F-15Cs.

If I recall, the Missouri ANG happened to be right next to one of McD’s facilities, and thus were able to modify some of their Phantoms in this way. Those Phantoms were then exported (F-4Es) or retired (F-4Gs) in 1996.

Upon further research i found out that the F-4E AUP that I showed with the modified windshield came from the Indiana ANG! Perhaps a few F-4Es outside of the Missouri ANG were able to get tve modification as well :D

That or there were personnel from the Indiana ANG that also worked for McD (turns out that was what happened with the Missouri ANG Phantoms).

How is this even possible??? The F-4E in Game has ALR-46 RWR, Countermeasures, and GBU-15 V1 TV bombs, and they really think its an 1972 model???

it’s a Mashup of all the Blocks

yes its intentional

no this is not a specific Block/Year variant

I doubt they’ll change it because they said they wont countless times in the last 3 years

its so insane that the US doesnt get a late F4e while there is one in game with TISEO and everything else it should get

like why TF did they not add this when the US had no guided CAS for night battles in the techtree until f14B
