Sweet man!
Go forward here’s how I suggest you use ai:
Ask them to provide links and sources for you to independently review, don’t trust the information AI directly feeds to you, as they all tend to fill gaps with things they make up. When I use AI to locate sources and information, I usually ask them to provide links and citations in regards to the information they retrieve and use, and it has helped me locate flaws in information. For example I once ask if X aircraft ever used Y missile, and it said straight up yes and provided a link. When I received the link, the source indicated only that Z country was interested in buying the missile for use on their aircraft, but not proof existed of it being purchased and used on their aircraft.
A few changes based on my basic knowledge of aircraft and American weaponry they’re compatible with:
• Change Aim-9P → Aim-9P-3
• Add Aim-9P-4
• Add multiple Aim-9M variants
• Add multiple Aim-9X variants
• Add Aim-120C-3 (it’s an Aim-120C-2 with clipped wings and a better seeker in basic terms)
• Add Aim-120C-8 (export variant of the base Aim-120D from my understanding).
• Remove CATM-9 (it’s a training missile, no warhead)
• Change the gun listing to one singular gun listing, not two listings of the same gun.
Not too familiar with A2G weaponry, so can’t suggest changes based on my knowledge of that.
This Ben! Thank you so much man, seriously. This means a lot to me and I will ask for sources every-time now.
Will fix everything you just provided except CATM-9, I want to have everything in this thread incl. training munitions, ill separate them though.
Again, thank you so much for taking the time to write this!
You’re awesome.
Quick mini edit:
• Add Aim-120C-2 (Better seeker Aim-120B).
• Add Aim-120C-4 (Better warhead Aim-120C-3).
• Add Aim-120C-6 (Better fuze Aim-120C-5).
• Add Aim-120D-2 (All I know is that it exists lol).
Done, done, done!!
Thanks for contributing!
Ofc! (You also put the Aim-120C-2 listed after the C-3, you gonna kill my ocd self T-T, lol).
By how much?
Lol ur all good, fixed.
If it wasnt you bugging out over it, it’d be me or someone else lol
Unsure, this information is very likely classified or just not public knowledge. It’s stated to have better ECCM (electronic counter-countermeasures) capabilities, and that’s all I know. You’re welcome to delve into the subject of this missiles and its capabilities and propose changes to the thread if need be!
Great progress on this thread for today, lots more info posted.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed.
Next up is adding JHMCS to the Suite timeline, then adding more specific sidewinder configurations as well as more weapons if any are missing!
Having some trouble finding much info on JHMCS implementation, i.e what suite and when exactly it was implemented.
After reading around a bit on reddit I am hearing of a Suite 7?
Can’t find anything about this though.
++
Sidewinders have been updated to be as specific as possible
Could anyone take the time to conclude what exact Strike Eagle we have ingame?
Possibly Suite 4E+ as it’s cockpit is more modern than the Suite 4E that is found in DCS
That’s what I am thinking too.
But JHMCS is from 08-09… Hmmm
Franken-plane either way
