im game you can test the top speed of an aircraft in test flight by using Min fuel, turning the Unlimited fuel slider to on using an Empty loadout and flying until you reach the Optimal altitude, then go to level flight and use afterburner until you hit the speed ceiling
I don’t have the F-15 Avalible for test flight so I can’t comment on the real in game performance

They likely remove the entire hardpoint mount not just the BOL. More drag there than you’d think

Exactly. Thank you. There are enough threads about the weight and performance of the F-15C but everybody seemed to forget about the BOL pods that the F-15 equips
Balance. with 240 CMs, the F-15C already has a very good CM count. They nerfed BOL into oblivion when they added the Gripen and their effectiveness is so weak that I’d argue that the F-15C actually has More CMs than the Gripen these days. Adding 640 (or even just 2x rails for 320) more CMs onto one the strongest top tier platforms in game would be pretty unbalanced right now. Not too mention it would eliminate any chance of ever seeing BOL buffed back up to IRL levels. the F3 and FA2 are near DOA at the moment due to their “lack” of effective CMs.
Aircraft like the Gripen only have 60 CMs internally and so needed the BOL (though Id quite happily get rid of 2x BOL for them to be fixed) , but the F-15C doesnt at the moment.
