McDonnel Douglas TAV-8B

Didn’t I delete that part?

Nevermind, I’m dumb, missed your conversation under the post.

Italy needs a squadron vehicle, this would fit the bill

so i came back to this thread because i would just love to have a free version of av8b na somewhere in the game, and i’ve got a question

Was this harrier ever spotted with a TGP? given that it developed from AV8B+, which instead of built in camera, had a radar in its nose, and the fact that buddy lasing is not in the game YET, we would have no possible way of dropping GBU’s and JDAMS deployment wouldnt be much accurate

I don’t see why It shouldn’t be able to use It, It has the same wiring of the normal AV8B+, with only less pilons.

The front and rear TAV-8B cockpit is the same as the original “Day Attack” Harrier from before they had any kind of targeting pod capability.
Basically, they do not have a second MFD on the right-hand side of the cockpit that was added to the AV-8B Night Attack and AV-8B+ for the purpose of showing sensor info/footage at the same time as flight information on the other display.

For Comparison: AV-8B Day Attack cockpit

So they are not completely identical to the AV-8B+ in terms of electronics, and the pilot cannot operate a TGP in the exact same way as the AV-8B+.

Theoretically using a TGP could be done with the aviator in the rear seat operating the pod on his MFD while the pilot flies the aircraft. But I think one would need to find evidence of a TAV-8B with a pod fitted to support the idea that the planes did TGP training in this capacity.
