The rear 40mm on the MC458 does not aim correctly and randomly shoots higher in the air than the front gun. Yes, I know there are guard rails that limit the guns movement; however, the rear gun is doing this in full broadside and when the gun is not touching any guard rails. In addition the turret traverse on the guns is too slow. I don’t think the primary armament targeting upgrade is working properly when checked. Complaining in game does nothing so I have posted here and in the steam forums, (though my post is too old to be veiwable??) I can no longer find it.
They are fairly uninterested in adding complete, functional, or historically accurate vehicles to naval. If you submit a bug report, it will be fixed about the same time as the heat death of the universe.
usually firing angle correction doesn’t need accurate document. Some good photos and screenshots that explains what you saids could make problem solved. I’ve corrected imperial russian battleships’ firing angle, which was disturbed by lifeboats by such ways. (Of course currently Kronshtadt has same issue but I’m lost enthusiasm to correct it)
so why not give a try on reporting it?
If it shoots high it could be an arc limitation thing or is a slightly different level, I don’t have this S-38 yet but it strikes me with similarity of the destroyer JDS Ayanami DD-103 which aft turret fires higher then the fore two.
