MBDA Brimstone: Death from Above

They denied agm-114l due to the radar system being overpowered in game so i don’t see them adding this either atleast not in near future.

Excellent news! I am happy the Spanish are upgrading their Typhoons with this capability. Unfortunately I hadn’t found anything in English language sources about it so I may have missed it, will update the post if necessary.

I was thinking that the specific GR.7 that carried these could be added as a separate aircraft, in order to give more options for the tree at higher ranks

This is a suggestion for a system that I don’t think should be added any time soon, but rather, simply so a suggestion could be ready for future reference for myself and other suggestion makers when suggesting modern vehicles. That being said, I can see this being added at some point in the future

Tornado GR4 firing 6x Brimstone in ripple fire. The missile in flight found their own target and coordinated with each other to hit different targets

In WT the misiles will hit the others so no one will hit the target.

Also the grippen have the Brimstone

After a quick google. Looks like Gripen Es would be able to get Brimstones as well

The Gripen E can also be integrated with a number of air-to-surface weapons including unguided Mk82, Mk83 and Mk84 bombs, laser-guided bombs such as GBU-12, GBU-16 and GBU-10, and advanced bombs such as GBU-49 and GBU-39. Air-to-surface missiles such as RBS15F ER, TAURUS KEPD 350, AGM-65 Maverick, and MBDA’s dual-mode Brimstone (DMB) can also be integrated into the Gripen E. - Source

they can, yes

so its basically the hellfire longbow but the UK manufactured. I think when we get the fire and forget hellfires UK should get these for their line up.

Pretty sure brimstones are a lot more capable than hellfire-Ls

Both will suck in WT, naturally.

Brimstones 1s have double the range of Hellfire Longbows
Brimstone 2s have 6x the range of Hellfire Longbows

Brimstones have more advance targetting systems and will coordinate their attacks with each other meaning they hit a target each.

Well yea the defiantly improved on them. I think the US test fired the brimstone for evaluation. They are very capable ATGM’s . Are they faster than the Hellfires? or just better range and target acquisition.

I have no idea, I guess it would vary on the launcher. Something like the Tornado Gr4 doing Mach 1 probably quite a bit higher than a hovering Apache firing Hellfires.

Edit:

Brimstone: ~450 m/s (~ Mach 1.3)

Hellfire: Mach 1.3 (995 mph; 1,601 km/h)

So about the same I assume when launched from the same kind of platform

I can see Gaijin adding a laser guided one, I’m not too sure about one with active radar guidance, same reason they denied the AGM-114L. Would be cool though. +1.

-1 until APS is on majority of top tier ground vehicles

Doesn’t matter. They’re ballistic missiles. Extremely ineffective. Also, there is no reason they would add kinzhals even if brimstones were added.

And i absolutely would not mind this. However there is 0 indication that gaijin is going to add kinzhal because they added a brimstone. That is complete non sense.

I dont care if you have 1 missile to shoot at specific point it would often be useless
