In my opinion, the topic should be about the J-7D and not the J35XS. The Chinese fighter is the one that actually causes a relevant issue in matches, since its missiles apparently at short ranges (around 3km to 4km) seem to have IRCCM on the PL-5s.
I own the J-7D, and it is very strong for the BR it’s currently at.
Either BR range need to be expanded to 15.0 stat and 10.X range gets untangled or gaijin get a parcel of sealed bottle of JP-4 with lighter.
Unfortunately the snail is allergic to giving us good decompression
matchmaking also seems fucked at 9.x - 10.3 range. it seems like Gaijin purposefully block Japan from getting paired with sweden or france as much as possible. it’s always with US or CN.

Japan normally plays with the US cause of their military relations iirc.
A lot of nations have nations they pair with, Sweden ground gets paired with Germany a lot but rarely with Russia.
You can fix it by having a friend play the nation you want on your side.
Side note even the F-5A at 11.0 is disgusting. Should it go up, probably not, its engines dont allow it to perform but the cannons are more important than the missiles. Id say vehicles like this are more annoying than the XS as these sky rats will chase you the entire match.

they have the same seeker FOV 2.5º, the thing that is smaller is the lock angles, which makes it far more restrictive.
What are you even saying? it is not anywhere even close to be 750m/s over the aim 9J, the ΔV isnt even 750 m/s is 700, so it has a 110 m/s higher ΔV than the aim9J

Lack of CMs and RWR means it’s extremely weak Vs 12.0/12.3 SARH Slingers. So shouldn’t go too high. But 10.7 would definetly be more appropriate for it until it’s FM gets fixed

IDK, I always have so much trouble going into lobbies with teammates playing Japan, cause I play China and it seems like China sticks with USSR a lot, and then Sweden/France seem to team up a lot. It also depends on the server though cause some servers like NA will obviously have more US players than other servers.
I really don’t think it needs anything to justify BR rise. Flight model already the best inside 10.x BR range, limited contention except J7D, which is also under BR’d. With RWR, I don’t think it is that useful cause anything within the BR range has huge smokes so u can spot them visually, and that tends to be what happens even with RWR, since they don’t work unless the enemy is on your immediate horizontal plane. MiG21 BIS has been moved down and I haven’t seen much complaint, it was 11.3, with bad manoeuvrability, and R60Ms are pretty much the worst all aspect missiles. Also a reminder F104G without flares still sits at 10.7 with 4 9Js and no manoeuvrability.
I think it’s fair. The only thing special about it is its missile count. 9P/9J/9G aren’t special at the tier.
There is something special about it, it is one of the most manoeuvrable jet in this BR range.
