On November 7th, the PlayStation 5 Pro — an improved version of the popular console — went on sale. At its release, only 55 games support the advanced features offered by this new console, with War Thunder being one of them!
Those who buy a PS5 Pro will be able to enjoy higher performance — with a suitable display screen, you’ll be able to get access to a refresh rate of up to 120Hz in resolutions up to 4K. And in the upcoming Firebirds major update, the game will receive even more improvements and additional optimization for the new hardware.
Please note that for some 4K displays, when selecting 120Hz, the base PS5 will automatically downgrade the resolution from 4K to FullHD. For owners of these devices, we recommend turning off 120Hz in the console settings and enjoying a sharper picture at the maximum resolution.
Yeah dude it was hard enough to get a normal one… not buying an even more expensive version for better graphics. The standard PS5 runs perfectly currently anyway.
Consoles are trash for Online/Multiplayer gaming. This additional paywall in the form of mandatory subscriptions (PS+, Xbox live gold etc.) in order to play with others is extortion and intolerable. Plus you miss out on Content like Marketplaces.
Well then, if I ever upgrade to a PS5 Pro I’ll keep this post in mind.
Heh WT being one of the 55 first games? It’s just like the original PS4 being one of the first games to be playable (plus it was the backside boxart coated in the red logo of WT).
Theoretical capabilities of the hardware are one thing, but practical application is another, heavily dependent on type of the game and CPU/GPU load. So in the case of War Thunder, it can’t run the game at 120 fps.
@OrsonES@gromvoiny How do I check this? If the TV supports up to “4K 144Hz” it should be ok right?
Also will the PS 5 pro support the game at its top graphical settings? Or will it have limitations?
Will that include all of the new features and amazing visuals shown on the trailer en dev?
So the only difference between PS5 and PS5 Pro for war thunder will be the 120 fps?
