I can’t get good KD’s if my client keeps pooping up my damage, whether it is with 50 cals, or 30mil or even a whole r27er to the face of a target. But that’s besides the point. Mauser BK27 deserves true air belts (the air belt is 1 practice round, 1 Fragmentary explosive round and two more armor piercing rounds) and ground belts need to actually do something to howitzers and light pillboxes.
What aircraft?
Tornado has the correct belts and I’ve found largely fine, not great, but do plenty of damage (Tornado Gr4 and Tornado F3 with the single MK27 kill just fine when landing a small burst)
Gripen has the correct belt and are pretty good from what I recall. been a while since I flew it though
Typhoon has the wrong belts and should be the same as the Gripen not the Tornado.

The issue with the Tornado and Typhoon is that all but the Stealth belts have PT rounds that dont do any damage, so you are wasting 1/4 ish of rounds. Which is why I run stealth belts on the Tornado and Typhoon. As per the bug report above, the PT should be replaced the PELE-T round on the Typhoon

the belts regardless of correct or not are quite poor in damage. Maybe for such br’s of the trg and stuff where targets are easier to aim since they’re larger, but on koreanwar jets which are literally as long as four people lying down in a row… not so much.
So I assume you are talking about the alpha jet. Can’t view it’s belts on the wiki, but I assume it’s got the same belts as the Tonka.
TLDR Try the stealth belts

admittedly the PT shell isnt much but its still a 27mm slug smacking a target
well I just played more planes with all types of guns and deducted from all of that that my account simply doesn’t make the server register enough damage. Like getting “critical hits” from damn r27er’s and r77-1’s or even phoenixes. When everyone scratches my paint I simply go down. But when I buzzsaw their plane point blank in a stall fight they just go back to base and repair or grant me a kill assist if i pray enough.
War thunder is painfully consistent at being inconsistent idk what to say
I have the same quarrels with hispano 20mm occasionally nothing more than a spud gun but occasionally puts the 30mm ADEN to shame

Hispano MkV for me are just unusable, while mk2 are klunk n dunk. That or hits, 50 fidddy.
