Implement an account level filter in matchmaking so players are only matched against opponents within ±10 levels of their own.
Currently, low and mid-level players frequently face Level 100 veterans who have fully maxed crews, complete map knowledge, and years of experience. This creates an unfair advantage and ruins the experience for less experienced players.
Limit the matchmaking pool by account level difference of no more than 10 (for example, a Level 30 player will fight players between Level 20 and 40).
Apply this restriction across all Vehicle Battle Ratings (BRs).
Fairer matches and smoother progression for new/mid-tier players.
More challenging and competitive battles for experienced high-level players.
It has been talked about many times before. Does not make much sense. I have played countless hours in ground and air rb. Does not mean that i know shit about naval, air sim, or anything arcade.
How would you account for a level 100 player that has only played air and then starts at rank 1 for ground? They are going to be really bad at playing ground vehicles but are still level 100.
Level has nothing to do with skill.
If you want to support the suggestion you can do that here:
if you want to discuss the matchmaker you can do that here:
Thanks for answer
Both forgot to tell you how crews work.
I’m level 100 and mostly i’ve played ARB. That means in most of my nations i just have 1 crew.
If i start playing ground, i’ll need more crews , resulting in most of my crews being crap.
For comparison , and i haven’t pay a dime for crews , in 13 years play with breaks ofc in ground i have only one 102 level crew… some 40-50 (enough to buy the SL boost in their skills) and everything else probably 10-20 lvls.
And as i use Ground AB as a time killer because fast games and you can farm battlepass tasks/challenges faster some times and without much commitment in time ofc i won’t spend money to level them up…
That results in my lvl 100 account having crews that someone may has at level 30 or something…(for ground) . And that’s assuming he didn’t bought crew points and has better crews than me.
Crew difference in Air can be outplayed with you being very picky in fights and don’t “overdo” things that you’ll lose for the 1 sec of G-lock you have more.
In Ground, the opponent will see you first, shoot you first , damage or even kill you first. He’ll reload faster, repair faster etc.
So as long as you have a crew advantage and why not knowledge as the others said because the “lvl 100” just started that mode or whatever , the level 100 means he just is older player in the game …
He might even haven’t played for years and be level 100 , from 6 years ago and might even not now all the current mechanics/changes.
There is a major difference between “experience” and skill.
For one, level is affected by RP grinded out, nothing more. It has nothing to do with player skill.
That is also assuming we’re talking about them not playing a new gamemode or br that they have not played before.
Next, time played “experience” also does not mean they are skilled
You can have 10K hours in any gamemode in the game, and still suck.
This kind of matchmaking simply won’t do what you’re intending it to do
I think a pre level 30 matchmaker (when theres enough players of such low level) would suffice. After that generally you should have learned enough to go out there into the real game
Honestly that’s the best idea I’ve heard of so far
Same. I would personally make a small tweak though; instead of it being level based it should be amount of matches played for the specific mode (air/ground/naval/infantry). You can get to level 100 by only playing naval and if you then jump into ground battles your going to have almost no clue on how to play that well.
True. If my dumb American ass jumped into an air sim match right now, I would probably crash into a wall for 6 hours until I figure out trim.
I can’t remember how many hours it took me to get to that level but I think about 15 hours worth of air and ground before facing us would be acceptable, I think that would be about how long it takes to get to the level 30 area.
Well, as the game is now with the high tier premiums you can’t really protect new players.
