This has been an issue for a while, but would usually result in 1 second of my tank slightly jerking off to the side. Now it has become almost unplayable in some situations. The game basically downloads about 20MB every time you join a match.
Consistently in every single battle, exactly 45 after spawning in, I get a massive spike of packet loss, and my ping stays at 999 for about 5-10 seconds. If I touch any key, it will either rubberband me back, or cause my tank to do a wheelie or climb buildings. It also happens if I rejoin a match after a crash.
The only way I found to remedy this in ground battles is to enable cruise control and to completely avoid fast vehicles at the beginning of matches. But air, especially realistic air is completely unplayable for me with anything but strike aircraft and bombers which already spawn in mid-air. Taking off until 23:55 is nearly impossible as I nose-dive straight into the ground. Same happens sometimes with my first plane in air arcade.
This also affects naval as my boat will start climbing whatever’s in front of it as I can’t avoid obstacles at all.
My connection isn’t fast, but completely fine for the entirety of the match besides those 5-10 seconds. My friend with a much better connection (50Mbit DL) noticed the same PL spikes, though much shorter.
