Mongolia as a close , but often forgotten ally of the Soviet Union was a major supplier to its neighbour during the 2nd World War equaling the UK and the USA. Among the sent aid were a batch of 32 T-34-76s and 21 T-70 Light tanks funded by the Mongolian people gifted to the 112th Order of the Red Banner Tank Brigade, which previously participated in the Battle of Moscow receiving the title ,Revolutionary Mongolia‘ in the presence of Mongol leader Marshal Khorloogin Choibalsan in January 1943.
On 48 of the tank turrets , the inscription ˋRevolutionary Mongolia’ was applied + an additional unique name, on this T-34 honoring Marshal Choibalsan.

A tank memorial is commemorating the 112th Tank Brigade in Ulaanbataar including a map showing the route the brigade took from Moscow in 1943 to its participation in the fall of Berlin in 1945.
