HISTORY
The commander of the Norwegian Marine Air Force, Captain Gyth Dehlie wanted to invest in building up and starting an aircraft industry in Horten, Norway. In 1915, he had the plans for this ready, and had made a number of drawings for aircraft, among them drawings for a scout plane. This gave the newly established aircraft factory the task of building two copies, which were then given the designation “M.F.2”, an abbreviation for “Marinens Flyfabrikk”.

This aircraft was intended to be a more robust and heavier aircraft type than the earlier model M.F.1, and was primarily intended for a reconnaissance role. The navy had managed to obtain four 160 HP Sunbeam engines from England in 1015, and the budgets then made room for the construction of more aircraft. The aircraft were heavily influenced by Farman’s modern aircraft at the time with a monoplane tail. The wingspan was shortened compared to the previous M.F.1, so that the planes fit into the aircraft sheds, and the krag jørgensen rifle was replaced with a Madsen recoilless rifle in a pivot. This was probably still chambered in the Norwegian/Swedish developed caliber 6.5x55. In addition, the aircraft was equipped with a 4-blade propeller, Marconi radio transmitter and could carry 3x 10 kilo bombs or mines. This was also the first “armed” plane in Norwegian service, first with fixed guns and bombs.

Two aircraft were built which were ready in the summer of 1916. One of the aircraft was stationed in Kristiansand from the summer of 1918. However, one crashed after a short time, and an additional machine was therefore built, which was delivered in 1918.

IN GAME
I don’t know how this would work in the game, could happen if you get more fy from this time/ww1 then it would be better. Time will tell, if not it could be a suggestion for the future
