Why name it after a Frenchie? That’s like having a British ship called HMS Washington.

Hmm, I wonder why would a young revolutionary government would name anything after a revolutionary

Yeah but Napoleon

Wait until you find out what Parizhskaya Kommuna means lol

The real question is why would you name a ship after someone who was killed in his bathtub?

Napoléon was an emperor who fought against Alexander I of Russia, another emperor. I don’t think the Soviets really cared about imperial feuds. (Or at least, I doubt they wanted to keep them alive).

Really interesting that soviet premiums like this get sales for things like “aniversary of when cosntruction started” but no other nation does

at least the ship existed. But if you wait a while, we’ll start having discount for Sevastopol as “anniversary of ship designers being sternly told Make sure to draw something pretty or else …

Its more of a shakedown than a sale tbh, cant wait for it to go on sale since its removed.

Edit: guess not, well thats nice at least.

So, its permanent on sale but 30%discount until June19th, or temporarily on sale until June 19th?

It’s typed in the article:

Just a week ago

RN Pola and RN Leonardo da Vinci are available at a 30% discount!

But I have never seen a “anniversary of HMS iron duke being built” for example. That’s a Italy’s naval day not just when a ship starts construction

Will we see a discount for HMS Belfast on the 3rd of August because that is the Aniverssary for when she was finished being built?

Sort of similar to an issue with planes and the anniversary of their first flights. Sorta. We got sales for Yaks, BF-109s, Zeros, Mig-21s, but there was nothing for the P-47 back on May 6th. I could have missed it but I don’t recall a sale for the anniversay/first flight of the P-51 (October 26th) either. Or the P-38 (Jan 27th).

There are a lot of sales for Russian/Soviet first flight anniversaries.

Yeah, seems like almost every single soviet premium gets a specific sale once per year but I dont recall the last time I saw one for dozens of other vehicles from other nations
