Dose this mean that IR guided weapons with IOG/GNSS will now be fire able without a seeker lock? Or will they still require a lock to shoot and you can just change it later?

I dont think it did, I dont recall ever seeing the datalink pod on the SHar, but Tornado GR1 and Phantom FGR2 could get AJ168

Oh! Important side note: With this feature, it would now be high time that guided weapons can also be guided directly from the (3D-)cockpit!
Especially the weapons benefitting from the man-in-the-loop feature can have quite long flight times, and staying so long “head down” will be very dangerous…
At the very least having no issues switching between views while guiding is an absolute must…
