Man-in-the-Loop: Guidance Mode for Munitions with TV and IR Seekers

Watch me kill a stupid airfield camper with kh59 when spaa cant intercept in ARB

Considering it gets data link pod on empty slot between missiles (as if both are meant to be used together), chances are high

It will likely be limited to 16 like the F15I in Israel with Spice 250s. The F15E can’t even carry the full 28 GBU-39s which are just GPS guided as opposed to IR.

This is Gaijin we are talking about… So who knows. you’d feel like the AJ168 would be specifically mentioned given its MITL only IRL and the TV seeker is a total work of fiction

Taurus and SCALP already were “possible” additions, they just don’t make much sense in WT

With MITL they make a bit more sense, but they still are dedicated anti-fortification missiles. They are bit like the armour piercing bombs in that regard:

They can be used against tanks, but they have to actually hit the tanks to destroy them. Otherwise they just dig into the ground to do their actual job lol

Its not very popular aircraft unlike carriers of munitions mentioned in OP so maybe its somewhere inside that “and some others” part.

It’s not a work of fiction, the co-pilot just isn’t trained to do anything, except for aiming straight at the target lol

Are PGMs and Spike ER more popular?

I dont know of anyone that actually uses PGMs, most consider them a waste of SP

But the co-pilot cant guide 3 at once from my understanding

Well pgm is fair point but spike helis pop up sometimes

The co-pilot is just built different like that

1 with left arm, 2 with right arm, 3 with legs

You say any SPAA can do that, but there are plenty of SPAAs that actually are so bad that they struggle to do that

Keep in mind that MITL won’t be limited to top tier

Would need keen eye to spot kh59m coming from edge of entire map on something without radar

The kh59 is not the most scary here. Bcz its slow and even launched at long distance, you need the plane to have a direct sight of the missile to control it.

I think you can just do circle somewhere far away and then direct your plane towards battlefield to do last final correction once missile is 3km away from target so it can track on its own

But you will be in the sight of spaa and sams.

Unless you sea skimming both plane and missile. When you need to pop up, you will be detcted and depend on the air defense, you will get destroyed.

We’ll have to see if they add a max range to the DL. But its the fact you need LoS to only the missile that could make this quite OP with very careful positioning

Because sub 13.0, SAMs odnt have the range necessary to deal with an aircraft staying 30km away, to use MITL on something like a KH-59

IRL you can guide multiple by switching guidance channel, but I guess for balance they don’t let you guide more than one

Only sad part is for some plane its only 1 missile who can be controlled with DL
