I get in the plane with a MITL system, EG PGM 500 or Martel.
I turn my plane to face a target many leagues away.
I fire le missile.
I turn my plane 90-180 degrees away from the target.
As soon as I go in the camera to adjust my missile, it swings my plane back into a nose dive in the general direction of the target, it does not matter if I hold free look while doing this or not, every single time the plane will auto-rotate back around to move towards the target even if I do not adjust the missile.
Anyone else getting this? Just not seen any comments on the issue. If its intentional, I can see it being extremely annoying as you have no ability to try to dodge incoming fire and run the risk of a wing rip/crashing into the side of a mountain or something.
Yeah this seems to always happen when using MITL
The aircraft seems to follow straight where the missile is pointed in the case if the missile is looking down the aircraft will also look down and eventually crash into the ground
I understand the aircraft need LOS for MITL to work but having a janky autopilot that makes the aircraft more exposed and frankly crash prone isnt the play and i dont really understand why the aircraft cant just fly in the direction i left it before switching into MITL like as long as LOS to the missile is kept there should be no issues no?
been having the same issue, might be residual code from the tracking view for munitions. yk, when, you donβt have that one setting turned off, that your plane automatically levels when you go into specific types of views?
Yep, gunna report it in a few days if its not addressed. Rather than the aircraft operating like it does when in any other view (Targeting pod, Defensive Turret, etc) the aircraft instead appears to adopt the direction of travel of the weapon. Its wierd, and heavily mitigates the addition
