Making Russian Tank Protection more realistic

Thanks for further proving I never lied.
I appreciate the assistance in dealing with Sartt’s false accusations.

It was a hypothesis from the beginning.
It was NEVER an authoritative statement.

@sartt

1- Hypothesis’ aren’t authoritative statements. Thanks for proving I never lied.
2- IRL alleged penetration is 700mm at 2km, in-game it’s 680mm which is likely more accurate.
3- Which is a fine take to have. Rooivalk has the longest range missiles in WT, has thermals, and warning equipment.
AH Mk1 has Starstreaks, which is the best anti-helicopter missile in the game.
4- No Soviet tank has 750mm of permanent protection.
5- Nope, I said lighter versions of jets are superior, which isn’t my opinion, but DEFYN’s opinion backed up with video tests.

This guy has been doing this stuff for weeks, I’ve noticed it, you’ve noticed it, and others have noticed it.

@FlipAllTheTables

Cause he replied before the edit, if he waited he would’ve known without a doubt that it was a hypothesis.
I never meant it as an authoritative statement, HENCE the edit.

@sartt
Yes, everyone knows I’m helpful, sincere, & honest.
You’re the only one antagonizing everyone on the forum for kicks.

Both of your are ignoring this BTW.

I thought I added words that indicated it was a hypothesis, and I didn’t discover my reflexes left out words I intended to be there until much later.

That part is my fault. Should’ve stuck around & proof-read it, or read it right after posting. And clearly I didn’t.
What isn’t my fault is people antagonizing after the edit.

He literally edited it in the last 20 minutes. He has been caught and is now trying to dig sideways out of his own grave.

He’s never going to admit it. This is proof, this is why i screen cap people on the internet, they will literally lie to you, and make it seem like you’re the one thats wrong.

I never said everyone I JUST SAID YOU

Just give anti era and bigger map and range effecting penetration right now Just admit it they are overperform if Russians tanks are good as in the game they would have win the war by now (and you know what happenings )

Real life user error is not an indicator of vehicle capability.

The fact it does tell everything
It had been combat proved and it failed in combat (in every aspect) it war machines after all if it not prove itself in combat so where else? Propaganda poster?
User error? almost 1k of the tanks they lost all of that are user error?
for one example it can’t even save the crew is the failure number one as Tanks

Everyone knows how poorly trained Russia’s military forces are.
You can have Abrams, you’ll still die due to poor training.
No one’s immune from poor training.

Not too mention the fact that weve seen evidence that all the era is fake

Unfortunately, between corruption, imcompentance and poor training. We cannot use Ukraine as a source of reliable information for how Russian/Soviet tanks may perform. (If we did that then we’d have to move T-55s up to top tier :P )

War Thunder Represents every vehicle in “factory fresh” perfect state. So many Russia tanks in-game are what they are suppose to be not what they are in reality. Though I do believe that we can use the same conflict for real world assessments of the performance for NATO tanks as they are likely being deployed in optimal conditions and so, that data can be applied in-game. (when Chally 2s hit the field, Im very interested to see how they hold up)

That being said. I do believe Russian vehicles are over-performing and/or NATO tanks in game are underperforming. By what degree, I cannot comment, but I think there is too many posts and threads on the topic, including one as detailed as this one that prove that something is wrong.(and there are several examples of things that are proven to be wrong, like the chally 2 mobility issues that would have undeniable impacts on game balance)

Whether its all game limitations or some degree of malicous intent. is another discussion however, and one I dont feel like getting into currently

No on gaslights on this forum
The fact that you’re claiming people are crazy because they’ve been told they’re wrong is wrong, off-topic, & inappropriate.

No one is crazy just cause they posted something that’s incorrect.

it is not fake, you have people who see something that looks like " egg cartons " and people in their own ignorance say " LOOK THAT ISNT REAL ERA!! " Meanwhile, it is exactly what has been known to be inside the ERA from the beginning.

There is plenty of evidence of Russian corruption effecting their armed forces.

From ERA that is made out of cardboard to body armour plates made out of aluminium or plastic. Not too mention the cheap Chinese tyres that kept bursting. There is evidence/reports of it all.

Do I take it all with a pinch of salt. Of course I do. Can that evidence be universally applied to everything. No. But there is certainly plenty of evidence of corruption within russia combine with the fact that Its been a soviet tactic for decades to make things look better than they actually are and we can make some conclusions

He means the real-life equipped vehicles, and he’s not saying all lack ERA, just that many were shown without ERA in the compartments.

i keep hearing cardboard ERA , no one shows proof, they just keep posting the same 1 or 2 pictures.

Now the Body armor stuff was laughable i almost died laughing when they showed Airsoft body armor, and those cheap Chinese tires are what happens when you trade with the chinese.

“for decades to make things look better than they actually are and we can make some conclusions”

You would be surprised how often that happens in every military around the planet, including the U.S Military.

to be fair if Russian tanks didn’t have the era they would be useless in warthunder that is the bvm is comically easy to kill without the era
