If the win rates are skewed, taking out the absurd nation matching would lower the win rates.
It would just normalize win rates like it did with air. Everyone would be closer to 50/50.

Unlike you, I’m concerned about the balancing of all nations, not just 8/10.
Doing this would either force Gaijin to buff Russian tanks unrealistically, as they are very mediocre otherwise, or not to buff them and leave their WR completely dead.
Realistic battles has not had a realistic setting in a long time, and will not in the future. The better option is to lean into the unrealistic setting to allow for more game balance, which Gaijin already does in many ways.
Again, how realistic is it that any nation can fight any nation, on a variety of maps ranging from World War One to the present day? Does it really matter that individual nations be locked to specific teams, even if those nations are close allies or enemies in real life?
Ground Simulator is not some kind of gold standard either, lol.

Fully agree, nations dont have identities like they used to have anyways. Everyone gets everything these days so yeah why not mix, at least at top tier
