Or they need to decompress top tier ground. You have the 13.0s and then you have everyone else. Take the 13.0s out of the equation and then 12.0 looks actually fairly reasonable for all nations. Even those with barely functional MBTs

its a copypaste, it wouldnt fill a role in the japanese/thai tech tree that needs filling, so why add it sience it angers considerable portion of the playerbase

True, and if it wasn’t added nobody would question it. But it was confirmed to have been planned, and Thai players were expecting their main service MBT.
Now it doesn’t seem fair to hold it back because another nation, a nation Thailand had already paid for the ownership of the tank, has an issue with it.

Things would have been so much easier if the tech trees were split by “who builds the thing” instead of “who uses the thing”

China is among the best tech trees in War Thunder.
The ZTZ99A for example is a top 10 MBT quite easily.
Firing 3BM60 equivalent rounds, having excellent mobility, and above average armor for the BR.
Acting as if China is bad in War Thunder is silly at best and malicious at worst.
Bug reports that all 10 tech trees deal with are not unique to China.
I have stronger words I will not speak. My Chamorro grandmother forgave Japan despite losing her childhood home.
It is really, really hard not to let ego take over witnessing these tantrums for the better part of 2025.

the shells is slightly* worse than 3bm60 itself, wich isint the best shell in the game itself, the mobility indeed is good, but its worse that other stuff like abrams or leopards, and armor is made out of 50% weakspot. on top of that it has the russian gun depression limit, and the slower reload rate of the t72
the only thing that the ztz99 has over the t80bvm, or the t90m is reverse gears

would rather not be in the game at all then be in the japanese tree (which again china has nothing to do with it when its an export tank china doesnt even use its pretty much just chinese nationalism that is run on hating the japanese)

going purely off of stats the only thing the challenger 2 blacknight has over the VT-4 is faster reload (for 4 shots then its the same if not longer then the VT-4), more gun depression and a better APS
the VT-4 is faster, has a slightly better armour profile, better top round, a more reliable rate of fire and a proxy round for the gun to deal with helicopters
