Im currently picking my way down the British Coastal tree. Currently rank 4.
But id not be opposed to getting LE Orla or HMS Whitby to speed the grind along except for the fact top tier coastal has just an insane compression and the cost of a top tier coastal being nearly 12x that of a bottom tier destroyer whilst oftne also being weaker. And they can face each other in the same match
id forgo the premiums, embrace the suck, and beeline the Terra Nova
full uptiers at 4.0 are kinda rare, even during events and you can just hold down LMB and watch the damage go up and up and up
even most destroyers you encounter can be worn down in no time at all
as for the rest
Borderer is just another speedboat, honestly not all that much better than the Agressor a full BR below it
Blackpool (and Whitby) are kinda awkward with that one very fragile gun and its annoying firing angles
never was a fan of the Peacock and now its 4.3, which doesnt help
Leopard is alright, 4.5" HEVT being tier IV is pretty annoying but genuinely worth getting
You should buy the coastal spawn ships that have better damage models for grind. M802 or alike corvettes. Two exemptions are the USS Douglas and the MPK.1414144141 thing
My suggestions:
Douglas
M802
MPK boat
Peacock
PG-02 (Mid)
Folaga
Amiens (coupon)
Otherwise yes the gamemode doesn’t offer more than some cool Russian boats and a few mid frigates
I have the entirety of the Royal Navy Bluewater tree unlocked, along with all of the Britains air and a good chunk of the ground tree done too. Only the coastal tree i’ve yet to reach top tier.
So not only am interested in the British coastal tree because of that. But there are specific additions im assuming we’ll get sooner rather than later. Such as a Type 21 or 22 Frigate.
Those would be interesting to include in my bluewater lineups as dedicated AA ships. Especailly with the current AA nerfs.
Did Gaijin actually state this? They don’t really seem to follow their own rules, as the Netherlands has three aircraft of American origin while Belgium has four that aren’t American. One example is the Meteor, which is used by both nations but listed as Belgian. The Hunter F.6, listed as Dutch, also seems like it was originally supposed to be Belgian before being changed to a Dutch aircraft, since it has more Belgian camouflages (two Belgian vs. one Dutch). It’s also the only Benelux vehicle in the game that shares camouflages from both countries.
