Will there be further news on this new customization?
Right now it seems very confusing, especially considering there is no indication what nations have their fixed home where.
With options like Italy, Hungary, Finland or South Africa present outside of their respective trees this might be confusing without further notice from Gaijin or changes to the system.
I’ve posted it already, but these are the options for Canada. Also, well, Dominion of Canada fell out of use in the 1950s(do to a mix of the UK stopping using it and it was a bother for UN docs), it’s still technically Canada’s legal name.
plus there are 4 flags it could end up being as more Canadian vehclies are added:
They offer variety beyond what Britain themselves does. As well as representation to other nations in game that don’t / cant have a full tree like South Africa, India, Canadian, Australia and many others. The South African tree injected a huge range of unique vehicles that offered many new choices and gameplay styles to the British tree that it previously did not have.
Once again, you misunderstood the fundamental aspect of these vehicles did not come “instead of” British examples. As exemplified by the SPAA matter, where the OSA and Strella did not replace or come “rather than” the Stormer AD or Rapier. They came because people wanted to see them and directly asked for them. Nothing is stopping any of the British equivalents to the vehicles you listed out, nor has anyone said they did not exist. Simply there are other priorities people wish to see and other gaps to fill.
That may not personally apply to you, and you have made your opinion very much known on commonwealth vehicles as a whole. However to many others, these are vehicles they requested or wanted to see in game.
Squadron vehicles are mostly always wildcards and are specifically intended in most cases not to be domestic vehicles.
If you look across most nations, you will notice they are not fully domestic vehicles to the main tree nation at all. More squadron vehicles will always come to all trees, but its never been a rule or requirement that they must be domestic.
Regardless, your questions have long been answered now and I would appreciate if the off topic rants could stop.
@Smin1080p_WT Hey Smin, I was wondering if Israel would receive anything else as part of this update since I-Derby ER isn’t planned? Any new weaponry like how SPICE was added later on?
As I have literally just very clearly explained to you, there was no need whatsover to resort to using foreign vehicles to fill those capability gaps, there are domestic British alternatives for essentially every foreign vehicle that has been introduced into the tree.
Any new content will be reflected in the update notes. Again, we haven’t shown everything for several nations yet. But we cannot go into specifics about the who or where.
There were options. Including various aircraft never added such as the Harrier Gr9A.
The moment Tornado F3 Late and Sea Harrier FA2 was added. Let alone the Typhoon, the hole was closed. The Gripen C could be deleted tomorrow and the tree wouldnt suffer for it
And has I have explained, they provide many gameplay alternatives the British tree did not have and representation to nations and vehicles many players requested and wanted to see. They do not prevent the addition of any future British vehicles.
Harrier GR.9 is not a supersonic light multirole fighter.
Neither the Sea Harrier nor Tornado offer what the Gripen does, and the Typhoon is 14.3, not 13.7. Not to mention the Typhoon was not possible at the time the Gripen was added. But thats also like saying the Tornado F.3 can be deleted because the Typhoon exists.
