It does but It doesn’t really help with the still giant weak spot in the front. I think the DU and ERA is also incorrectly model but i’m not 100 percent sure.

improvment were made in DU armor, but we just dont know what (if it was multiple hit durability, increased armor protection) we just dont know

50/50 gaijin has everything coded as “armor” but with cerain base values over the original for example ERA its just armor that has health, DU is modeled with a multiplier on mind, its the way to make it as reallistic as possible while keeping it simple
