Part of me hoped it would come next week at least, because there are a lot of vehicles I’m excited about.
But at the same time I like that they do these long dev servers. Seeing all the improvements being made to a lot of the vehicles is great to see and takes some of the worries away.

Afaik not, except in really modern time with French stuff they recently bought (notably EBRC Jaguar), things that can come to France alone…
I’ve got the feeling (but maybe I’m paranoid) that this big pile of copy pasa for France is because Gaijin don’t like our resistance in not wanting our equipment in other countries, and that if they give us lots of it (which moreover isn’t necessary for the most ‘important’ ones, the air tree doesn’t need any F16s in top tier, and I’m already afraid of Leopard 2s on the ground that are in the same idea), this will give them an excuse to give Mirages/Rafales everywhere, and we won’t have the right to complain because ‘Yes, but you have American planes and German tanks, so shut up and accept that we give your equipment elsewhere’.
Maybe they even dislike us so much that they hate the idea of having TTs in the modern era that are completely independent, not like 90% of the others nations, and they want to break that, who knows…
I really don’t get who in Gaijin come with the idea to give F16s and Leopards2 to France, where we already have Mirage2000s, more mirage2000s to add for either the hunter line or the striker after the 2000D (i can think of 4 other Mirage2000s to add right now in the TT and one as premium or other), then Rafales, and more Leclercs and support vehicle available for ground…

which, btw, according to the latest datamine, means that the French, as well as the Swedish now have a better hunter than the British at 9.0.

And it’s not like it’s something i would care, like… It’s really not a plane i want to fly, i don’t care at all if it’s better, i don’t grinded France to use UK/US/GER stuff.
If i could i would give it to UK.

It’s not meta as is, and while that’s annoying I can live with that. What I can’t understand is why a very well known British Jet sucks when it is in the British Tree yet the Swedish and French ones at the same BR are magically better.
Oh, and both the Swedish and French ones can run Drop Tanks. The F.1 (the British one) cannot. Since none of them have Drop Tanks right now it’s not an issue, but…
oh, and before I forget, it’s the same with the Vampire. The British one is technically the worst out of all the ones in game (Italian and Swedish) because least powerful engine iirc

I understand that feelings, we have things like that.
French Roland was down in BR because they don’t want to work on it: it have a bugged limited depression since years, and it don’t have it’s own tracking radar, wich is a French made radar, but Germany and USA have them on their Roland variants.
For that even France could have one because we upgraded the engine, but at LEAST it would be historical, since we used them and changed things, but i’m not sad or whatever if we don’t have that, BUT if it’s for giving us others planes like that hunter… Meh.

The British Vampire has less engine power spaded than the other ones do stock.
Ironically they have the same visuals and the only difference is the engine. Gaijin could easily just change the name of the engine, increase the thrust, change the name of the aircraft and copy paste the statcard and the problem magically just dissapears.

I wouldn’t mind France having their upgraded Vampire at all, or the Swedes getting an afterburner on their J34,
I have nothing against copy-paste either
I just dislike it when other nations have better variants of an aircraft than the country that developed it, particularly when the home nation used that same variant in service.

As I specified, USSR is still getting two platforms to use R-77 in game, one being in game.
And as much of addition it would be it would be third in one update.
People already complain about USSR just getting Su-27SM, with MiG even despite it not being FM strong people will still whine.

So what you’re saying is, because the ‘origin’ country gets the OG version first, when the export models are rolled out, the ‘origin’ country should get that version or native variants again? (Like with the P-51, F-16, Hunter, Sherman, centurion, etc.)
Because these origin countries get these vehicles long ahead in time. There are many examples of where the origin country gets their own vehicle many updates early. These are most often the earliest versions of these vehicles, which aren’t exported normally. Then when the modified export versions get added to other countries the origin country already has the vehicle in their TT. People would scream ‘C&P’ or ‘More grind!!!???’ really quickly.
Maybe this is what the ‘modifications’ to research would be good for.
I don’t think french nationalists were the target audience for this sub tree, hell I don’t even think french mains were the target.
I think this was purely done for the benelux tree people/supporters and to maybe draw some more stragglers to the french tree.
