Major Update "Seek & Destroy" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 4)

Compared to the IRIS-T, MICA-IR, Python-5, PL-10, AAM-5, and ASRAAM, it definitely is, however I’m unsure of how it performs compared to the R-74M2.

Thats valid actually I forgot about the R-74 somehow

Good things is the Richelieu (Jean Bart exactly) last AA upgrade turret gonna enter the game next update, it’s the secondary on the Italian ship that France gonna have (but here are the early variant, Richelieu could use HEVT or other usefull shells i’ve forgot the name, not just basic HE)

Love those 2x57mm bofors, can’t wait to see them in action

I do hope they not gonna make it DoA like a Dunkerque is smelling more and more because i think others gonna have better by the time we got it xD

Comon Gaijin, give us something nice before it’s DoA !

Richelieu class is saddly to powerfull for the game right now, i just hope it’s not gonna enter the game months after it’s closest rivalry ships, since we are already behind others.

I suffer grinding the bretagne in case they add the dunkerque…for nothing 🙃

Richelieu is too good for the game right now sadly.
Hopefully surprise Dunkerque or Strasbourg to compliment Queen Mary since they’re both battlecruisers.

Spoiler

Gaijin always seems to do 2 or more BB/CCs at a time so… PLEASE GOD DONT LET THIS PATCHES OTHER BB BE OKTYABRSKAYA REVOLUTSIYA PLEEEEEAAAAASE

I meant Richelieu particularly

Wasn’t the Dunkerque made as counter to Littorio ?

So Germany build a ship to Counter a French ship that is build to Counter and Italian ships, that is probably build to counter a French or German ship…

Funny things xD

Kinda surprised we haven’t seen a Bison pre order yet. Typically, do we see pre order come this close to patch release date? I’m expecting Tuesday for the patch.

I think u missed that the dev server has been prolonged until the 13th xD
So definitly aint coming tuesday

I didn’t even know about the map changes on big Sinai and they removed the only good spot on that map.

Now it’s a guarantee death soon as you move from spawn.

Its gonna be rough waiting this long for an update but its the update that needs to be the most perfect as possible on release for balance sake so its understandable

Honestly, i would prefer all patches being handled like this quality wise

No, the Dunkerque class was created to hunt the German pocket battleships of the Deutschland class. The German answered that counter by building the Scharnhorst class. Learning about the the Scharnhorst class, the French navy overhauled the Strasbourg (which was still under construction), especially its armor, so that it could face the Scharnhorst. At the same time, The Littorio class was unveiled by the Italian, which prompted the French navy to design their own “super-battleship” class to counter them, giving birth to the Richelieu class. In 1940, plans were made to start working on a super super battleship class that we would come to know as “Alsace class”, and this is were it ends. You know, for obvious reasons.

the difference between here and Cold Waters is a) team sizes are a bit bigger than a “normal” cold waters engagement and it’s Co-op, and b) there is the very real risk that if you mess something up, you will have a helicopter and/or a Silex/Sunburn over your head in seconds. But your get out of jail is noisemakers, MOSS decoys, and best of all, you stand a reasonable chance of getting out of jail by running deep to flank speed.

A lot of the maps in WT probably wouldn’t be that deep, by virtue of the fact they’re a coastal location. and so you either have to go fast, and cavitate and reveal your presence, or go slow, and basically never get anywhere.

And that’s assuming you had the speed to get anywhere. I’ve previously mentioned, early Cold War Diesel Electric boats could only manage a touch under 20 knots submerged (Whisky, Tango, Foxtrot, Oberon, Guppy, etc) and WW2 boats even slower. So I don’t think that anything before Cold War Diesel Boats is actually viable.

nono, that’s valid, and I share the same feeling
