They forgot to add ARH on the radar specs
They are likely going to decline it. I think not giving it R-77 is purely a balancing decision. I think they dont want to add a premium jet with ARH missiles right now.
It just really, really shouldn’t. Give it a break, this plane is undoubtedly the worst ARH carrier bar none. 2 ARH.
Nice that Gaijin shows us the IAS limit so we can see which planes cannot fly.

Why not? Harriers & F-4s got Aim-120s.
because its a premium. They may give it R-77 later but there’s low probability of getting R-77 right now.
Yeah, likely & they want to add the tech tree Mig-21-93 with it first at least.
Imagine F-20 got AIM-120. We would really be in a world of hurt.
Its capable & was advertised to the possible export clients back then!

Sickening that some planes are forced to choose flight performance or radar/kit and some simply aren’t.
That’s my point with F-20A vs Bison.
F-20A can bomb a base then dogfight really hard and blast people with AIM-7F, it has that nice headon radar mode which is super strong.
Bison literally can’t even take a base with the maximum ordinance it can carry, which requires it to lose all missiles, at best it can kill 4 people then it’s helpless with 10.7 flight performance and a water pistol with 3.5 seconds of trigger time.

It does feel rather strange that the Bison does not have R77s. You are right, does not feel like an actually modernized Mig21.

Yeah, this should not be the way GJ adds it.
The Bison is a legitimate modernized fighter. The F-20 is not.
The silliest thing is the radar has ground tracking in TWS, so it can autolock moving ground targets, but none of its ordinance can use that lock for anything.

Appearently it 's actually a dipping sonar ! The model is Zvezda M1-01.
Internally, it 's referred to as an " ammo rack body ", this may change. Like the " aa gun "( SAM launcher ) on the Pr.12412 's.
