it has the completely wrong engines for its model i covered it in a diff thread, but it never had standard 220 engines in any post 2000’s C model
the early C’s had the 220E
the post 2000s C (like the one ingame) ran the 229 engine

The Aim7 control fins reset to neutral when lock is dropped so hinders ability to connect if lock is reacquired, they detonate immediately if left to long (though the Aim7M has an autopilot computer)…

Aim-9M had its range reduced to that of the R73. When the Aim9L & M’s tactical advantage is range.
The F-14 is a whole other story…
All western HMS radars cannot lock under the most ideal conditions as OEPS on the Soviets can immediately lock everything even further than the ACM 10km range.
An exploit that came to the game at the SMT release, GJ immediately removed & actually added it back in with the auto adjust feature that actually limits western radars even more.
All you have to do is lock a target with IRST & switch over to radar & there you go immediate acm radar lock beyond 10km no issue & up to 20km at times.
Funny thing is… The truth is no Soviet Mig-29s can actually use the OEPS 29 to command the radar to look around & lock with HMS. It was only for IR missiles… It’s using a modified Mig-23ML radar dish. same with the First Su-27 (Due to struggling economics of the Soviet Union 1980).

iirc they’re the same for now. Which personally I think is better because then balancing is a smidge easier
