Even if they did change the ground absorption, you would still be able to dodge these missiles by flying on the deck
I’d take that
How come?
no dev stream announce is SUS
Or it’s just later than usual.
theres a difference between having to at least be careful to not hit anything and whatever the fuck wt has rn where you can just be what could i guess be considered “somewhat close” to the ground and still be basically immune to radar missiles
Because even with the most modern radars/missiles there still is multipathing/ground absorption if you fly low enough
+/-20m is a little different than the few hundred we have in game though.
If italy does get a premium amx A1 they better give the tech tree ACOL it’s mavs/AS30s too lol
im just gonna stop talking for now. gaijin happily ignoring something that braindead pisses me off more than it probably should.
cya on dev boys. hopefully.
Well, in that case I would then ask, how low?
Because right now you can comfortably cruise at like 50m to 60m off the ground and be immune.
If that safe zone was instead like 20 or 15m then it would be more difficult and incur risks to your aircraft like terrain and trees.
Type 01 jeep is still something controversial. For ground based F-F its only on IFVs and since the changing locking mechanics they have become a lot more viable. For LMAT mounted jeep it will not be on a BR equal to those IFVs but any rating lower may cause issues.
China when they copy every moving thing in this planet:
Then how about Type 96 (A) with Type 01?
It’s a fast wheeled vehicle and gets a 40mm grenade launcher that would be able to do some damage as secondary armament. Very similar to the IFVs we have, but with more focus on ATGMs than the cannon armament.
A Warsaw pact tree with Poland and Czechoslovakia would be nice (after the Y nation, of course).
It really depends on the source, I’ve seen numbers from 1.5 meters to up to 50 meters
The thing is tho, most of these numbers stem from tests performed while sea skimming or while flying over mostly flat ground. War Thunder maps tend to have complex terrain and I’m gonna be honest, I don’t understand radar science well enough to get through reading articles about ground absorption and multipath propagation over irregular terrain.
I do imagine that if they ever went for completely accurate radar mechanics AND put in the effort to calculate terrain and heights properly you would still be able to dodge most of the missiles by flying low and following the terrain
Also, keep in mind that while missiles and radars are less affected by ground clutter absorption and multipath propagation, planes in real life also get way better countermeasures as well
I was confused for a second I realized it was the Kyu-Roku WAPC. It may work, Japan needs every light tank or auxiliary in this case it can get.
