What are you talking about, the Dutch are literally merged with the German military, all their brigades are merged with the Bundeswehr, and the Dutch and German navy are doing a similar thing.
And now that the Dutch and German airforce both operate F-35s it’s likely they will work more closely together there as well, as was already the case with the F-16s.
What military ties do the Dutch have with Belgium beyond sharing the responsibility of protecting the airspace relating to NATO obligations, which is just for convenience due to the small size.

Meanwhile we work together with belgium to procure naval ships. And last news about the german-dutch joined procurement ship in NL is that it’ll likely be torpedoed by Germany.
Also we already have airspace security arrangements between us and Belgium. So you’ll have to wait a long time before anything close to a merge between the dutch and German airforces.
Besides that our airforce seems to prefer working with the US over working with Germany.
Production of naval ships isn’t really the same as the actual naval ships working closely together with German naval battalions integrated with Dutch ones the same with Dutch brigades are integrated with German ones.
Airspace is as mentioned just a convenience thing as both the countries are so small that it makes a lot more sense to just share the airspace and cut costs in half for both sides.

A Dutch brigade is integrated in the Division Schnelle Kräfte, a rapid intervention unit established in 2014.

Feel free to start, I think Germans and Dutch get along better than the Dutch and Belgians… and if we’re talking about culture I don’t think they get along with the French all that much at all.
Which is so wrong it’s funny. I just spend some more time in northern Germany and their day to day culture and technology seems to be what ours was 10 years ago. However going into detail would probably be off topic.
Meanwhile we have a lot of history with Belgians. Germany is pretty much just there. We work with them because we like international cooperation and they are one of the strongest economies in europe.
There is plenty of history in all directions, none of which justifies the Benelux going to France however.
And that again is about production of ships and not the actual cooperation.
And sure there is cooperation between Belgium and the Dutch naval forces, which also applies to Germany and the Dutch… notice how none of this includes France, nor F-16s and Leopard 2s.
Which is why I dislike the idea of our vehicles going to france as much as I like our vehicles going to Germany. I wish we would get the canada treatment.
I just dislike some random person, who likely isn’t dutch, trying to tell me who we are culturally close to and who not.
I don’t think it should matter, but I am Dutch… and I’d much prefer our vehicles to go to Germany who has more claim to them than France… both modern vehicles due to close collaboration, as WW2 vehicles due to occupying the country and operating these vehicles of which plenty evidence exists.
Even from a gameplay perspective it’s a lot better for Germany to get an F-16s and the eventual Leopard 2s as additional top tier vehicles, opposed to France getting Dutch F-16s despite having the Mirage and getting Dutch Leopards 2s that are part of German battalions whilst Germany gets a freaking Phantom at top tier instead and usually inferior Leopard 2 versions.
I mean couldnt they have included camos for them on any of the vehicles added if they were used by them? They sorta did that with the swedish T 2 as it has the swed camo and fin (rip norway though)
Dutch decals could very much solve the entire debate. We wouldn’t even need to be a sub tree. French mains mostly don’t even want the sub tree and the German mains are just whining because they only want 1 vehicles.
Also Germany top tier ground is one of the last nations I feel sorry for, because even those inferior Leopard 2 versions perform better than a lot of the other MBTs currently in game.
That’s the thing though, I don’t think they operate all that much lol, they have no water so no navy, they have maybe a utility helicopter and a transport plane for air… for ground maybe some utility trucks and armored vehicles for troop transport.
They recently decided to purchase more vehicles, primarily the Jaguar… but that’s a French vehicle already lol.
French mains mostly don’t even want the sub tree and the German mains are just whining because they only want 1 vehicles.
Because they have a bloody Phantom and are getting dunked on lmao, and they actually operated the Dutch vehicles, it makes perfect sense for them to want it.

Half those other MBTs in the game are going to be Leopard soon when Sweden, Italy, Germany and France all operate them.
