It’s what I’d tend to expect, especially since we’ve had 5th gen promised “soon” by leaks for a while and it keeps not happening
This is why certain weapons should be locked to air battles only. (Tbh in general that would allow quite a few weapons to be added if they started doing that)
I think I might be right that this was one of the reasons for the delay. The IRST pod is now missing from both Super Hornets.
I’ve finished building the AIM-120D and have been using it, but I’m wondering again: what exactly is the difference between it and the C-5?
The difference is D is after C so it must be better (trust)
it has gnss. afaik it works by reducing the iog drift to 0. so basically if you can guide it all the way in, its a little more accurate. no more resistant to chaff at all. Aside from that, its a c-5 that turns ever so slightly worse.

Problem is these “blind and deaf” people would die to an aim120A in the same way, or litterally anything else at that BR.
Aim120D should have gotten a reduced seaker FOV like the mica
