Today’s last day of dev-server and the last update of dev-server, I guess J-15T will really drop with 48 CMs on live server seeing as only the F-16 had gotten a countermeasure update.
I don’t know why you guys are so excited about getting the worst missile in game.
Even the F-16C countermeasure update is pretty worthless, taking the PIDS pods handicaps yourself even further both in ARB and GRB.
But the J-15T is the biggest dissapointment of this update.

Well you can’t take more of them than 250s can you? So they would just be worse

But them being a disappointment is also a strong reason why Gaijin will ensure they buff the PL-12A asap.

Yeah you can’t take more of them, but you also get to save nearly a ton in weight if you can still manage to get direct hits with the bombs, like using laser or IR. So having the same effectiveness with less weight is better.

The playstyle will really be 48 chaff + prayers that you don’t get an ET launched at you.
Also with this same logic you just need to stay at like 20/25km away from everything in every situation🙏🏻

I think the J-15T can work with accurate countermeasures (48) and an accurate PL-12A. It would be great offensively but require a lot more precise and conservative countermeasure use defensively due to having only 48 pops. High skill floor, but capable. The skill floor of something like the AESA Typhoon is incredibly low in comparison, since excessive cm use is very forgiving due to the headroom you get.

I expected the AIM-120D to be a nothingburger addition, so it’s hard to be disappointed about something when you have your expectation placed below ground.
I had kind of hoped that the J-15T would at least be fun to play, but at this point it’s close to self harm.
I think Gaijin can model the PL-12A according to reports by the time the major update drops, since the Derby-ER and AIM-120D reports both took 7 days for implementation and the last PL-12A report was submitted yesterday, 7 days before the theoretical upcoming Tuesday patch update.

Also, some reports regarding visual errors on the J-15T for those interested
only to take them as a decoy missile if the IRs dont fit certain hardpoints.
fire an AMRAAM and then a IIR so the RWR goes off to decieve them.
I already do this with fox 1 missiles when the radar sucks (phantoms) before lobbing a sidewinder
In the J-15T? Leave it in the hangar and play something that isn’t the equivalent of hitting yourself in the face.
All pit vipers get such organ but yeah its pretty interesting and a nice touch
