Major Update "Ninth Wave" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

sounds tiring but then again so is playing the challenger knowing how many accepted bug reports there are for it

In some cases, it could be the case that the only thing holding up a report from being implemented was an additional source being needed to resolve the report, but it isn’t communicated to the author of the report who could help provide the additional sources to expedite the report.

In the end there’s only so much the community managers can say.

Then its just a matter of waiting a few years for said reported things to be fixed. If they ever are

I haven’t been like this for a few years now, just that some recent additions to the game has made some things more glaringly apparent to me.

true but still irritating

There is a tag for missing information or if more information is needed in a report. Don’t know what it’s called exactly but it’s blue ^^

What’s more problematic is the lack of transparency regarding suggestions and why some reports sit on “accepted” for years (not even just suggestions but bug reports too).

yeah i understand.

its funny how there expectations are wait 3 years for 1 small buff to be implemented because “there doing extra research” (photos of challenger 2 spall liners isnt enough or they just dont want to buff it)

If that information is avaliable for us to communicate, then we do. If its not, then there is nothing for us to communicate.

The truth is that some of these reports sit there untouched for years, and actively start getting worked on after several years. Technical moderators (and community managers) can internally see developers ignoring reports and also see if they’re being worked on as well as the status of the reports will update internally.

But these status updates are not available to us publicly.

my question is why is there 2 year old accepted reports that havent been touched it surely cant take that long to deal with some of them

This is false. If there is an update to provide that we can share, it always is.

Unfortunately it is not always possible to share internal matters.

Can somebody tell me if the PIDS Pylon IRL can carry Air 2 Air Missiles, cause right now at 14.3 even with the new Pylons it feels very unfair to play against players that have 10x the amount of missiles.

There is no universal answer for this. Every report is different, every factor different, every context different.

There can be a multitude of reasons.

Apparently it could with an adapter but that capability hasn’t been proven yet. this came from someone else on this thread.

well, I think for balance reasons they should add this.

some specific reports i dont see the multitude of reasons on it being like that for 2 years (mostly challenger 2) but i dont wanna give u a hard time so ill shut up

I understand what you’re saying about making reports, and I agree that reports should be made. However, what doesn’t help with what you’re saying is the fact that despite us reporting things, they can sit for several years before receiving any attention. This 100% turns players away from reporting things, and then you get people like me complaining, because we have seen how some reports get left behind, and the ones we make aren’t getting any sort of acknowledgment, so we fear the same fate. This is why people ask for more transparency, they have no idea what you guys are doing with it once it’s “accepted”.

I also understand we are in the dev server, and that things are still being finalized. My frustration arises because I reported things on day one (some of them being blatantly false from me, that is my fault), yet I have seen nothing about them in game. I fear that the time I took to correct the developers mistakes, won’t be implemented in time for me to enjoy something I have been waiting for, for a long time.

personally i think people are gonna get seriously turned away from the game if there taking over a year to add something as simple as spall liners or a ready rack buff or something like that it just seems disingenuine
