Major Update "Ninth Wave" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 3)

I ask since the version on the dev looks way too green, basically unusable. It looks like it’s based on the mockup display shown in 2016

Gaijin should create a new mechanic for cruise missiles, as pre-launch checkpoints
cruisse missile mechanique

I’m not an expert on all missiles, but I’ll speak mainly about the KD-88. Gaijin should create a new mechanism for cruise missiles, or any other weapon capable of tracking coordinates like waypoints before launching cruise missiles (you place your waypoints upstream, lock onto the target, and fire). I know the KD-88 is a long-range terrain-following cruise missile, but currently it does direct hits like an AGM-65, which isn’t entirely true. The KD-88 has a TV seeker that turns on in the final phase, and the entire path can be based on the GPS waypoints the missile has acquired. In the game, by locking or placing a CCRP point on the map using the data link, it will be possible to update the missile’s trajectory by moving the CCRP point from the map or a designation pod, making it as close as possible to a “man-in-the-loop” mode.

Gaijin will have to code the TV or IR seeker so that the cruise missile locks onto the target captured in the CCRP point or targeted by the pod. (Note that in the game CCRP = GPS point / pod lock = GPS point)

This will give real value to the cruise missile, which will fly in terrain-following patterns through mountains, striking anti-aircraft defenses from the rear, which will be more dangerous than Kh-38s that we see approaching at altitude.

This. Based on the modified cage mast and catapult, Oklahoma is gonna be in her 1924-1927 outfit. Also means the Mark 9 torpedo should be for her as she did not get those removed until her 1927-1930 refit.

F-8 with a different haircut or shaved legs 😆
PS Hungarian IS-2 with early armor and DSHK on top looks cool as well, just saying)
