That post is a prime example for all the things which go wrong. It was stated in that thread more than enough why their whole approach and the following consequences and conclusions to that topic were and are completely wrong (assumptions over reported primary sources). It just shows the lack of the devs understanding of said topic. You can’t blame the people for always taking this up as you have to assume that if they do it like that there, they will also do it everywhere else. That whole MANPADs post is a convolution of “we assume”, “we think”, etc. instead of “primary sources state”.
This is also part of the topic as this whole problem expands to the newly added missiles (AIM-120D) too as wrong assumptions by the devs (smaller fins → worse maneuverability) are used without taking other sources and reports into account and reports are accepted but weren’t fixed or even updated in over two years!

MANPADS have nothing to do with this topic. There are open topics (such as the one I linked) to discuss them.
In the case of the AIM-120D, when it becomes available for testing, if elements of it are not correct and there is material to show this, reports will be welcome and will be reviewed.
This topic is not the place to report inaccuracies.

And that’s enough to say this can’t be used for it, quite simple really. Those two key differences make this apparent. Going even further, for whatever variant this turret might be, it also uses different APS radars paired with its APS (I mean they are an apart of the iron fist system ofc). It’s a good photo, helpful for getting an understanding of what the turret might be inside IRL, but it’s something gaijin wouldn’t accept is what I’m mainly getting at, you try citing it and they’ll go “not the same turret” with it likely they’ve done with similar things in the past. Oh and the only thing it’d be helpful for is getting internal models added so the tank is easier to disable…

This image is just a pet peeve of mine in particular is all, and it getting passed off as being the Eitans exact turret (which does sometimes happen online) is something I find quite dumb. They’re obviously related, but they’re not 1/1 and one is likely a derivative to the other. And when it comes to the nature of derivatives, when changes can be noted on the exterior, it’s unknown how many have been made on the interior as well.

firstly- Will the GBU -53 Stormbreaker come with the F16C block 52 Pobit (F-16CM), F/18E Super Hornet and F15E
Secondly- Will the F15C Golden Eagle also get the AIM120D, or will it only be exclusive to the F16C BLK52 Pobit and F/A-18E/F ?
Thridly- last Update during the dev server, the legion IRIST pod was datamined, but didn’t come to the game, will it come this update or was it canceled ?
Asking for update on a report that has only been open for 3 months is crazy
How do we come up with actual data though, we are starting to see missiles that entered service a little over a decade ago, the chances of there being unclassified material for these is little to none and every document available for them is extremely vague as for what performance improvements they provide, when is the line drawn between balance and selective realism?

Hey Smin, I was curious, are there plans for Israel to receive their first Rank IX jet this update at some point? As of right now they are the only nation in game that does not have a Rank IX nor a jet above 14.0.
